committed to your success.Job Summary:Under general supervision,
you will utilize the nursing process to provide care to all
correctional care patients with respect for their uniqueness using
informed judgment, individual competence and qualifications, and
collaboration with the health care team. You will play an intricate
role in assessing patient's physical and psychological conditions
on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. You will
document patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the
patient's course of treatment. We are committed to adhering to the
American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing
and performance and the ANA Code of Ethics to provide care to all
healthcare consumers. You will apply critical thinking,
evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the
health care team to promote excellence in healthcare consumer
safety and quality outcomes. On a daily basis you will utilize the
Theory of Human Caring and Caritas in order to ensure the complete
safety of our patients.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Please refer
to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.Education:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program that is
accredited and satisfies the licensing requirements of the Colorado
State Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience:At
least one-year RN experience in a direct patient care setting is
required.Credentials:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado
or a participating compact state required.
- National board certification is a preference and encouraged for
staff nurses.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS &
ACLS) for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR
required.*Specialty certifications as required/recommended per
unit* All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be
kept current as a condition of continued employment.Shift: Varies.
Must work 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule.Pay Range:Minimum:
30.53Midpoint: 38.22Maximum: 45.87**Plus generous Forensic and
