Our Intermediate / Progressive Care unit acts as our Step-down ICU,
compassionately caring for a wide variety of complex, high-acuity
patients with a strong and growing focus on cardiac and neuro. We
always focus on putting our patients first, which is evident
through our hourly rounding, bedside reports, and manageable
nurse-to-patient ratios. We are proud to be a Heart and

As an IMC / PCU SSC / Charge RN, you will need to know how to:
- Supervise and/or provide direct patient care. Assist and
support staff in responding to and problem solving situations
related to patient/ family complaints, Physician concerns, risk
management, associate safety, and Hospital safety.
- Respond to patient emergencies as needed. Respond as the charge
or lead person for disasters.
- Collaborate with the staffing office and adjust numbers of
staff for census changes during the shift.
- Communicate with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census,
staffing, pending admissions and discharges, any problems she/ he
needs to be aware of, and any patient information that will be
helpful in making assignments.
- Support unit management team in managing department
productivity/staffing and timekeeping, and coordinating unit
- Perform evaluations, coaching and disciplinary actions as

is why we require:
- ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain
your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire
unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven
continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting,
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability
to obtain Colorado RN license, required
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart
Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire
(with prior approval), required (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for
unit or service)
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, required
