Located in Thornton, CO, we are a small LTAC Hospital providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries.       • Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Registered Nurse as applicable in CO.
      • Current BLS required
      • Current ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

        • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements; Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

The 8-10 week program incorporates weekly critical care education classes with our critical care educator, structures clinical experiences with other clinical disciplines such as wound care and respiratory therapy and on-line required classes. The Critical Care classes include Airway and ventilator management, ABG Interpretation, Sepsis Management, EKG interpretation, Neurologic system and assessment, Palliative Care, Early progressive Mobility, Delirium prevention, Assessment, and Management, Critical Care pharmacology, and Chest tube management. The intent of this program is to p rovide a systematic structured orientation to the professional role of the registered nurse. Job Requirements:

              • The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
              • Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include:
                • Demonstrating clinical competence;
                • Managing patient care;
                • Improving quality of care;
                • Establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills;
                • Fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and
                • Developing clinical expertise per specialty.
