Services Segment Manager - Sales Transformation

Job Description:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues andis regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to thedevelopment of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysisof situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and mayparticipate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providingdirection and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies andpractices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achievingobjectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Key Responsibilities:Develop and champion Services BU compensation strategy and models for HP Salescoded roles. Work closely with WW and Region teams to implement.Partner with region category and sales teams to identify services growthopportunities, to gain insights into Sales' needs, and work to transformServices sales capabilities.Clearly understand and set strategy for HP Services Sales system framework andexperience. Work with key stakeholders across organizations to develop andimplement optimal Services Sales experience across priority systems.Work across WW and Region teams to develop Sales coverage strategy and plans.Work to gain WW and Region buy-in to implement. Set and track key KPI's tomeasure results.Identify opportunities and lead projects to operationalize key aspects ofprograms and initiatives that drive Services growthProvide recommendations and planning assistance on growth opportunities andidentify specific portfolio offerings, packages and solutions that can driveservices growthContribute to objectives to meet or exceed order, revenue, attach, andpenetration rate goals associated with PS commercial servicesEducation and Experience Required:Typically 8+ years to establish proven track record in Service BusinessManagement.Basic experience in one of the related disciplines of delivery, solutionarchitecting or business planning prior to taking business management roleIn-depth experience with channel partners and indirect go-to-market businesspractices10+ years business development, sales, and/or delivery experience is requiredGo to market experience in the services business is highly desiredExperience working with geographically dispersed teams is strongly preferredExtensive experience coordinating virtual teams and cross- organizationalprojects is a plusKnowledge and Skills:Expert-level knowledge of the technical services industry, HPofferings/strategies, marketing principles/tactics/toolsProven sales and/or business development experienceDemonstrated knowledge of channel partners, sales motions, and servicesprogramsStrong project management skills; able to manage multiple high-visibilitypriorities and projects in a fast-paced environmentEffective budget management skillsExcellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skillsProven ability to partner with and positively influence those over whom youhave no direct controlDemonstrated ability to achieve business objectives working across allorganizational levels (executives, managers, peers, geographies,virtual teams, stakeholders, etc.)Proven business planning, analytic and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of managementand functional disciplines; both within and outside of HPCritical Competencies to Drive Business Results:Collaborates effectively with others to ensure shared commitment to anenterprise and mutually beneficial resultsGenerates and applies actionable insights to build competitive GTM advantageDevelops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organizationApproaches problems in a rational manner using sound strategies that ensurecomprehensive understanding and effective resolutionTranslat
