A great 401k match and FREE Medical, Dental and Vision insurance options for employees are just some of the reasons you will want to continue your career at ARB Midstream The Director of Engineering & Project Management will manage the Engineering, Construction and Land teams to support gathering operations and accomplish project goals in a safe, compliant, reliable, efficient, and profitable manner. Ultimately responsible for the planning and execution of organization projects. Plans, directs and coordinates the overall project management and construction to achieve milestones and minimize costs, delays and disputes. Ensures all engineering activities are in accordance with organizational standards. Leads and manages team of project engineers, construction superintendents, engineering and other project personnel through day-to-day execution of capital program addressing safety, cost, schedule, quality, engineering, procurement, construction, and overall team dynamics. Provides guidance and direction for Right of Way and all necessary Permitting Activities for assigned projects. Ensures that projects properly go through stage-gated Project Management Process including funding and approval process. Develops and Prepares annual budgets and 5-year planning for Engineering initiatives and projects. Ensures goal alignment at all levels within program and projects team maintaining unified focus on defined objectives and desired outcomes. Encourages commitment to environment of continuous improvement. Provides structured forum for communication and interface management across project to ensure quality, value, timeliness. Ensures open communication and cooperation among team and stakeholders. Key Customers are Business Development team, Operations Accounting and Procurement Staff. Manages field execution of approved projects to ensure project execution complies with plan and meets agreed quality, cost and time parameters in safe and environmentally sound manner. Liaises with third-party engineering to ensure conformance to contract. Reviews cost estimates and economic justifications on Authorizations for Expenditures (AFEs). Manages project risk assessment through development and implementation of risk response plan to monitor and control risks throughout project lifecycle. Monitors individual project costs and quality to ensure value and technical performance. Coaches others to identify and resolve key issues impacting projects' schedule, cost and quality. Ensures Project Engineers are defining, reviewing and managing potential scope change decisions in accordance with established change management objectives. Leads annual capital and non-recurring expense plan development and monthly spend forecasting. Manages staff. Ensures employees are resourced and trained to successfully perform engineering activities. Initiates selection, promotion and corrective actions when appropriate; accountable for fair and uniform application of human resources policies. Oversees career paths and succession planning. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: BS in Engineering required. Minimum 15 years engineering and/or project experience in progressively responsible positions in the downstream or midstream industry required. 5 years working in the field at a facility or on pipeline installations preferred. Professional Engineering License, certified Project Management Professional highly desirable. Prior experience in gathering pipeline and compression engineering, project management, or operations required. Ability to lead teams and effectively communicate with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation. Travel up to 50% and working at project sites for extended periods of time, as needed. Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus on common goals.
