Position Mission: This position will manage highly productive field operations teams for the Company brands and is responsible for achieving the financial and profitability execution for the budgetary fiscal plans. This position will coach, inspire and motivate while fostering an entrepreneurial environment, support the company’s culture and balance the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. He or she must be a talent magnet, people developer, strategist, proactive problem solver, strong communicator and well equipped to develop creative solutions and strong business case analysis to support key recommendations and/or proposals. The position is based in Lakewood, CO; working from a remote location will be considered for candidates that live in a major city with a strong brands presence. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Manage the field operations teams to deliver financial results, growth and customer satisfaction goals. Monitor day-to-day operations; visit our bagelries often to ensure that all aspects of the business meet established guidelines and standards. Assist with the development of tactical strategic plans and ensure the completion of each, hold individuals accountable to assigned tasks. Monitor all aspects of the business by using the various methods and reporting tools available (Daily sales reports, SMG, labor and food cost tools), and then use the data to coach and reach established goals. Develop and execute plans and initiatives that consistently achieve the company’s desired sales and profitability targets for both existing and newly established operations. Champion the operating culture by delivering a high level of system-wide operations execution that exceed guest expectations in each store, every visit; build a culture of accountability to financial and operational standards. Develop and maintain relationships across the company to ensure productive partnerships with various business units and disciplines at the Support Center. Hire, develop and evaluate leadership talent to create and maintain high performing teams that reduce turnover, create succession & growth and ensure that our top talent is ready to take on additional responsibilities. Deliver consistently on the company’s WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) and key performance indicators. Exhibit leadership by example through effective coaching, motivating and reinforcing the company’s operating principles and core values while maintaining a high level of visibility with company operations. Provide thought leadership through developing and implementing innovative support solutions for company operations. Communicate dynamic written and oral messages that motivate and inspire a diverse and geographically dispersed organization. Demonstrate progress through analysis and forecasting and presentation of conclusions and recommendations to the executive team. Play an active role during the pre and post opening of new restaurants to include recruiting and training. Maintain a strong industry network and local market knowledge for our brands. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Superior intellect and creativity with a high capacity for managing complexity. Highly motivated, self-directed and results driven. Ability to lead and motivate across levels within organization. Act as a culture champion while representing the brand. High energy, focus on detail, excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills. Ability to identify and develop talent to maximize potential. Ability to maintain confidential information. Adhere to company policies, programs, and work rules. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Able to take direction and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently. The proven ability to execute/manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Must also be knowledgeable in areas of retail operations, familiar with pricing, product specifications, food, supplies, and sanitation. Willingness and desire to maintain high visibility and take a “hands on” approach with company operations. A passionate orientation toward the guest and delivering outstanding operational results within the framework of a people driven culture. Education, Experience and Skills Required: 10+ years of successful restaurant management/leadership operations experience required. Previous senior management experience leading large restaurant teams in a geographically dispersed operations environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience is required. MBA desirable. JOB-RELATED SKILLS Strong planning and analytical capability, advanced financial acumen with the ability to quickly “size” a P&L at restaurant level and at corporate or business unit level, then use that insight to drive improvements. A passion for developing the team including establishing professional development goals and other performance management targets, then coaching to successful completion. Must possess excellent management and organization capability to successfully manage a large, diverse and geographically dispersed team, including performance management, resolving conflict, deploying talent, and developing the team. A proven track record in achieving budgetary sales and profitability objectives.
