Summary: The Vice President of Talent Management VP will serve as a change agent to the organization by leading efforts of Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Leadership and Development, Organizational Development and Effectiveness, Employee Engagement and Succession Planning. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below: Talent Management Creates companywide talent management strategy to meet our hiring, retention and development needs ensuring resources and budgets are accurately identified Provides leadership, support, and guidance to team members; reinforcing the importance of operational excellence, service mentality, and employee/management trust Build/maintain effective collaborative relationships with management staff and senior leaders Lead in the evaluation and redesign of fundamental recruiting and learning & development tools and processes Constantly strives to achieve better results and greater efficiencies Responsible for developing and executing succession management strategies within the organization in order to meet current and future business needs Advise and support employee engagement survey and manager development Talent Acquisition Supports best-in-class talent acquisition strategies/methods, referrals, direct sourcing, and social media advertising Works with stakeholders to develop and continually refine a comprehensive workforce plan Improves the employment brand for COMPANY to build into recruiting and incorporating into recruiting process, tools events, social media strategies Builds robust talent pipelines that tap into targeted talent pools that represent the diverse talent community for the telecommunication industry Creates business case for necessary advertising and spending for recruitment needs Develops an effective and best in class onboarding experience Creates an exceptional candidate experience that represents our employee experience Makes significant contributions to the diversity of our workforce Defines, designs, implements, and manages success measures for talent acquisition Develops training opportunities for recruiting team to create recruitment coaching and training for hiring managers, ensuring best and leading edge practices Leads the reporting process -- compiles talent metrics and interprets data trends Ensures all regulatory reporting and compliance is complete Learning & Development (L&D) Partners with leadership, local HR, and other business functions to further drive learning strategies within the businesses Sets yearly priorities and development plans and works with team to allocate team resources Works with L&D team, HR business partners, business function leaders to identify and implement organization training programs and development coaching Leads efforts to identify and design training and professional development needs that support critical business initiatives; develops and delivers appropriate solutions by working with internal and external resources Manages all aspects of development lifecycle, to include supervision of ongoing training programs, development of future training programs, and training consultation for key stakeholders, marketing and communications of programs, manage budgets and resources, reporting, measurement and maintenance of training records, vendor and stakeholder management Mentors, leads and coaches staff to assure that the skill set of the team is aligned to the learning and development needs of the business Works with outside vendors and builds strong relationships with executive coaches and other partners Creates a culture of recognition through the development and deployment of programs that recognize top performance and effort. Ensures a high degree of execution consistency; knowledge retention and effectiveness measured and tracked through carefully designed metrics Continuously innovates and experiments in the rapidly changing fields of adult learning science and technology, to keep pushing the effectiveness of our learning interventions Responsible for the design and administration of a Learning and Development software system Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Bachelor's degree is required Experience/Skills Needed: Minimum of 10 years' experience in talent management Proven experience translating business plans into talent acquisition and learning strategies Proven analytical skills, experience with engagement survey data, data analysis and dashboards Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, influence and execute Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills across the organization through knowledge and expertise Capability of working autonomously or collaboratively as part of a team with a 'sleeves rolled up' approach and in a collaborative manner Demonstrated expertise in methods and tools for successful identification, design, development, implementation and measurement of learning solutions Ability to work in a challenging matrix environment with multiple competing deadlines Ability to project manage and drive and manage change that results in positive impact Experience in hiring, mentoring and leading a team of HR/recruiting & training professionals Proven track record of sourcing, recruiting, and closing exceptional talent (especially passive candidates). Experience and proficiency with ATS & LMS Systems and other software. Ability to interpret market trends and adjust talent acquisition & development strategies as needed in response to changes in the environment.
