Job Description:

The Director of Operations is responsible for continuing our legacy as a trusted partner in the payments market, and ensuring we maintain our solid reputation of product consistency, quality and outstanding customer service. Successful candidate will meet revenue, profitability and growth targets for the business unit; establish the operation as the market leader in card manufacturing capabilities and service, including secure payment cards, transit cards, other forms of RFID cards; as well as establishing market leadership position in dual interface and metal card production and fulfillment services. The roles reporting to the Director of Operations, Colorado are: the Prepress and Graphics Operations Manager,-- the Smart Card Operations Manager, the Production Control department, the Site Quality Manager, and Automation/Maintenance Manager. The total population for these functions is approximately 120 employees in our Littleton, Colorado facility (Centennial building). The peers to this role are the Director of Operations in Indiana, Director of Sales for the Secure Cards Solutions,-- Director of Product Management for Secure Card Solutions, Quality Manager for Secure Card Solutions. Responsibilities:
---Controls day to day operations and reports to the SVP Operations
---Responsible for the attainment of short-and long-term financial and operational goals with a primary responsibility of increasing company profitability, and ensuring superior customer satisfaction
---Responsible for all financial budgeting, reporting, and cost reduction targets
---Develops, reports and holds the plant accountable for achieving site metrics such as: On-Time Delivery (OTD), Scrap, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Customer Complaints, and various production efficiency metrics.
---Partners with IT and Finance to ensure proper setup of all Operations ERP functions, Business Intelligence tools and adjacent software programs
---Responsible for all inventory management and control processes
---Partners with Sales and Client Services on all customer visits, Quarterly Business Reviews and required calls when necessary
---Reviews all audit functions and is responsible for the successful completion of security, financial and process audits
---Leads and directs senior managers in the attainment of company goals
---Enforces accountability and negotiates solutions in departmental conflict
---Adhere to, monitor, and enforce all CPI Audit/Security requirements.
---Adhere to, monitor, and enforce all requirements of the CPI Quality Management System Program (ISO).
---Adhere to, monitor, and enforce all requirements of the CPI Safety Program.
---Must be able to work flexible hours as required.
---Plans for and implements development of the organization to ensure future growth
---Ability to develop and manage a long term strategic plan for the site that fits into the longer term strategic plan for CPI and its Operations function. Performs a variety of tasks including: 1.Serving as a point of escalation in all possible customer issues
2.Actively supporting an empowered culture through intentional team meetings at all levels
3.Participates with management and peers in crafting a strategic plan related to card manufacturing and related services for the payments industry.
4.Reviewing departmental metrics to ensure alignment with company goals
5.Ability to assess the sites--- IT capabilities and partner with the Finance and IT organizations to ensure proper controls and alignment are in place for manufacturing.
6.Maintaining an annualized calendar to assure departmental coordination and prevent project overload
7.Providing support to Sales in contract negotiations and customer site visits
8.Planning forbuilding expansions and departmental moves
9.Building annual budgets and reviewing monthly financials
10.Determine annual capital expenditure requirements with the input of senior management and approve ongoing capital expenditures attending to timing requirements for appropriate cash flow
11.Convene problem solving and process flow review to resolve on-going issues and improve efficiency/effectiveness
12.Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and modify production capabilities where required
13.Work with other CPI business senior unit leaders to drive a culture of one CPI by determining and implementing best practices. -- PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
1.15 years of progressive corporate management experience, including managerial experience
2.Practical experience with lean manufacturing techniques, including knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizens, 6S and other related lean management tools
3.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and actions required to maintain certification
4.Previous experience working in the card manufacturing and the payments industry preferred.
5.Knowledge of dual interface and metal card manufacturing preferred
6.Must have broad experience with the full range of business functions and systems, including strategic development and planning, P&L management, budgeting, business analysis, finance, information systems, human resources, and marketing.
7.Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder who has experience in scaling up organizations; ability to connect with staff both on an individual level and in large groups.
8.Capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower topnotch leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down, cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team so as to put people in a position to succeed.
9.Proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; high level of business acumen, including successful management and the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; problem-solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness.
10.Highly motivated and able to influence and inspire others.
11.An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
12.Ability to travel if necessary
13.Ability to think strategically, anticipating future consequences and trends, and incorporating them into the organizational plan
