Location: Denver, CO
Schedule: Monday- Friday, Onsite (Every other week Hybrid)

Role Summary:
This role reports to the Lead Category Manager for Indirect
Procurement and supports Technology Category Management. Categories
may include:
- Software & hardware
- Onshore, nearshore, and offshore services
- Networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing
- Artificial intelligence (AI), data science, IoT
- IT governance, telecommunications, databases, and data
warehousesThe role provides analytical and tactical support to the
Indirect Technology Category Team and is responsible for executing
category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring
contract compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Technology Category, delivering procurement services
and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
including partners and government bodies.
- Ensure standards, processes, and operating systems are
implemented in all procurement activities.
- Support and execute category management strategies and supplier
management plans.
- Execute short- and long-term agreements and manage procurement
activities safely and effectively.
- Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation
strategies.
- Conduct due diligence to mitigate external supply risks and
ensure robust cost and contract management.
- Lead procurement communications with key stakeholders,
including CIO and Business Unit VPs.
- Build and manage local supplier relationships to drive
continuous improvement and reduce operational risk.
- Support performance reviews with stakeholders and suppliers;
address and escalate service delivery issues.
- Execute common procurement processes and drive efficiency and
compliance across the value chain.
- Organize and support regional supplier and contract management
activities (e.g., performance reviews, onboarding, audits).
- Coordinate procurement representation in supplier
investigations and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Collaborate with Category, Technology, and Operations Teams to
ensure business continuity.
- Deliver value contributions that directly impact lease
operating expenses.Qualifications:
- University degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Business,
Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- High school diploma with 8 years of relevant experience may be
considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience in Technology
preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Project management experience.
- Working knowledge of systems such as Open Invoice, Ariba, SAP,
and tools like Excel and Access.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines,
cultures, and geographies.
- Preferred experience in programming and understanding the
economic impact on oil field categories.
