Job Description:

Purpose, Scope, & Dimension of Job: Reporting to the Division Vice President, the Director of Sales - West will have overall leadership and accountability for Sales in the West Branches at Hansons. The Director is responsible for the development of the short and long-term strategy for sales at of 1-800-HANSONS, LLC, which is executed through in home and virtual sales appointments. They will be tasked with establishing leadership and the strategic direction of the sales process, and they will drive, influence, shape and integrate that strategy for functional sales teams in conjunction with the Division Vice President. The overall expectation is to increase the sales force capabilities, skill levels, and retention while driving higher sales results. Supervisory Responsibility: This position will have informal supervisory responsibility. Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and ensure new sales representative onboarding and training by working with local General Managers
  • Build rapport and establish great working relationships with sales force in respective branches
  • Improve Self Generated Leads within Division
  • Increase branch close rates
  • Roll out new sales initiatives to team
  • Assist General Managers in coaching and training of sales team
  • Coordinate and run RILLA project for sales teams
  • Act as a backup for General Manager sales duties as needed
  • Analyze training effectiveness and adjust accordingly
  • Achieve West Division Sales Budget
  • Various tasks assigned by VP and Executive Leadership Team Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Minimum of five years of sales management experience
  • In home sales experience or sales experience in a similar environment
  • Demonstrated track record of successful lead generation and sales results
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Must be proactive, focused, and able to keep tasks and team members on track for productivity
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; proficient in other MS Office applications such as PowerPoint and Word
  • Technologically savvy; able to utilize and train people easily on software
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Operates with a continuous improvement and problem solving mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Self-starter that takes the initiative to implement necessary changes
  • Honest, ethical, and dependable
  • Experience successfully integrating technology into a sales process
  • Demonstrated experience with successful sales leadership in a multi-location organization selling directly to consumers
  • Leadership experience in both in home and remote sales
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple levels of the organization to manage and deliver key programs and objectives. Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or Higher
  • Home improvement or similar industry experience Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods
  • Requires the ability to move about inside the office
  • Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and the public
  • Routinely operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • Ability to work remotely when needed Hours/Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year. Standard hours are M - S, 8:00 - 5:00 but due to cyclical nature of position, some overtime, including evening and weekend hours, may be required to complete projects under deadlines. Nationwide Travel is required. Compensation:
  • $100,000 - $120,000/year + bonus
