About Fort Logan
This position is located at the Colorado Mental Health Institute at
Fort Logan (CMHIFL). CMHIFL is a 94 bed psychiatric facility
located in Denver that is dedicated to meeting the needs of the
community by providing mental health treatment to adult clients in
the metro area. The mission of CMHIFL is to provide the highest
quality mental health services to persons of with complex, serious
and persistent mental illness within the resources available.
Our goal is to assist patients in returning successfully to the
community as soon as possible. The treatment program is designed
with the Recovery Philosophy as the basis for the various therapy
modalities offered, which include but are not limited to:
Individual and group therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy,
Medication & health teaching, Family therapy & education, WRAP
groups - wellness recover action plan (integrate WRAP (individual
disposition planning), Work therapy, Mindfulness skills - deep
breathing, Substance abuse education and Chaplain Services. Our
goal is to be a partner in treatment with patients and their
families, assisting them on their road to recovery. We attempt to
maintain a safe, kind, and supportive environment of healing
through our respectful customer service.

Description of Job
*We are filling multiple positions from this posting both Full-Time
and Part-Time/Pool.*
This position exists to provide supervision,
clinical/administrative nursing consultation, and direction to
registered nurses and nursing assistive personnel on the assigned
shift to assure the delivery of quality patient care through the
nursing process in accordance with the nursing and hospital wide
standards. Responsible for maintaining safe, adequate coverage for
the inpatient units on the assigned shift. Serves as a resource or
guide by advising others on how to use processes within a system or
as a member of a collaborative problem-solving team.
Work environment:
Sometimes difficult customers/patients, locked units, interactive,
fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented, requirement to make immediate
and critical decisions, and a high level of accountability for
patient care. High level of professional responsibility for the
employee to maintain updated skills, knowledge, abilities and
competencies necessary to the position through continuing
education, clinical supervision, literature review and
participating in discipline and team development.
