Job Description:
Peak Utility Services Group is an integrated group of
engineering and construction companies serving the Electric,
Natural Gas and Telecommunications industry. We provide a full
suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance
services including repair, replacement, maintenance, and
installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric
infrastructure through five operating subsidiaries: Track
Utilities, SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers and Superior
Pipeline Services.
Position Title: Human Resources - Director

Salary $125,000 - $145,000
Essential Functions:

The Director of Human Resources is tasked with overseeing HR
processes, the employee experience, and compliance within an
assigned operating company. In addition, the Director supports the
operating company President, leaders, and employees with
exceptional service from the HR function.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Leads the processes, and actions of the HR department that
result in exceptional services for the operating company
- Oversees the implementation of Human Resource strategic plan
and associated processes. Monitors execution and identifies
opportunities for improvement
- Leads, develops, and supports a high-performing HR Team.
Support employee growth and development; sets an example for
continuous learning.
- Executes on Peak level processes such as compensation,
performance management, and others as developed by the Peak
team
- Leads employee relations matters for the operating company;
complies with Peak policies and standards, develops operating
company processes as needed for policy administration
- Maintains EEO data as requested
- Oversees the employee experience for the operating company and
makes recommendations for improvement such as onboarding,
orientation, learning and career development
- Leads the reporting and analysis that the operating company
needs around human capital management; keeps up to date on
knowledge and ability to fully utilize the HRIS system and
analytics capabilities; trains others on the HR team and within the
operating company to be capable of utilizing the HRIS system at the
appropriate level
- Understands company benefits and assists with benefit
administration including answering employee questions and
implementing open enrollment processes
- Leads local efforts to retain employees and control
turnover
- Works closely with the CHRO and other HR leaders on functional
strategy development and execution, and seeks guidance and approval
from the CHRO on employee decisions that will impact the operating
company
- Supports employee and management training programs
- Leads career development and succession planning at a local
level with the guidance of the CHRO for consistency throughout
Peak
- Completes and maintains employee records and reports in
compliance with Peak standards and required regulations
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting
regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures
policies, procedures, and reporting comply with requirements; works
with HR leaders at Peak on any policy issues that need revising or
creation
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee
relations issues and leads all corrective action and termination
processes
- Partners with the recruitment function to support the hiring
needs of the operating company
- Prepares various clear and concise written reports that are
needed by various audiences utilizing the UKG system as the source
for human capital data

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power
Point)
- Proficient in a HRIS system such as UKG, Workday or ADP
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, or related
field
- Master level degree preferred
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- At least 10 plus years of experience in human resources roles -
preference for employee relations, performance management,
compensation, organization development, and management/employee
development
- At least 5 plus years of experience in a HR manager level
role
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence
Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
