Join our growing association with this leadership role. Job
Description The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a senior-level
leader to manage our association aquatics programs and staff. As
needed, you'll directly supervisor assigned aquatics facility
operations, develop, organize and implement high-quality programs
and ensure consistency, efficiency and innovation across our five
branches. You'll manage our branch aquatics directors in budgeting,
developing and improving YMCA aquatics programs and services, staff
and member retention and recruitment of new members. You will build
strong, strategic relationships with current and prospective
partners inside and outside our Y. Salary Range:
$70,000-$80,000/year. Position is year-round, full-time exempt. OUR

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in recreation, business, human services,
related field or equivalent.
- Four or more years of experience in program management,
preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
- Within 30 days of hire, completion of Child Abuse Prevention,
Working with Program Volunteers, CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne
Pathogens training, Oxygen, Lifeguard instructor, Certified Pool
Operator and Swim Lesson Instructor certifications required.
- Skills in supervision, budget management and project
management.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community
organizations.
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
Essential Functions
- Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of
the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
- Monitors daily operations to adhere to all state, local and
YMCA regulations, health and safety standards and policies.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs
personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff
performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve
goals.
- Manages and ensures completion of all required trainings for
self and staff in Training Home, in addition to any required
in-person trainings.
- Develops and monitors department budgets to meet fiscal
objectives and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
Completes all weekly and monthly paperwork in accordance with
association policy.
- Maintains regular and timely communications with supervisor,
other Y employees, parents, coaches' other community members and
organizations.
- Maintains an open, friendly, professional relationship with
staff, parents, participants, and community.
- Works closely with the marketing department to ensure all
marketing deadlines are met and initiatives are successful, may
organize and schedule program registrations.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and
develops positive working relationships with other organizations,
businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and
models collaborative relationships with community agencies in
service delivery area.
- Works with branch executives to ensure Aquatics programs meet
the needs of the branch and members, provides input and
recommendations related to fixtures, furnishings and supplies
needed to ensure that facilities and programs are safe and age
appropriate.
- Supports as needed/appropriate in proper maintenance of pools.
Ensures aquatics staff knows all expectations and are maintaining
accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility
maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment in all areas of the
facility by conducting facility patrols to identify maintenance
concerns, facility cleanliness, safety, and security.
- Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall
objectives of the
- Assist with developing long range plans for facilities and
programs.
- Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special
events.
- Participates in assigned branch and association-wide events,
meetings, and activities.
- Participates in required Manager on Duty shifts.
