We are hiring a Development Director in Denver, CO! -This position has fundraising responsibilities tied to corporate sponsorship and participant income for the annual Denver Cycle Nation event. -These -events -bring together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers within the community to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke, the number #1 and #5 killers in America.---
We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. -The potential incentive is based on achieving certain team revenue targets. -
This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule in a fast-paced environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission.

Responsibilities
As the Director you will be responsible to:


  • Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships and individual donations with a focus on the Denver Cycle Nation event.
  • Achieve assigned revenue goals by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners.
  • Conduct---sales calls to generate new business by soliciting sponsorships and generating participant income through developing year-round business and cultivation plans.
  • Drive peer-to-peer fundraising by supporting corporate partners and team leaders effectively.
  • Develop---relationships with volunteers, sponsors, and key corporate and---community leaders. -
  • Goal---set with corporate companies and individuals to raise funds and---awareness for the Denver Cycle Nation event.
  • Work alongside the events and logistics team to coordinate---event efforts and meet company needs to deliver on promised activations. -
  • Network---within the local area and recruiting and retaining our valued volunteers. -
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's---degree---preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in fundraising, outside sales, or in a nonprofit organization in a similar capacity.
    • Organization,---communication,---negotiation,---and---interpersonal skills are a must. -
    • Ability---to---accomplish---results---through strong volunteer recruitment---and---management, proven---track record in meeting sales/fundraising---goals.
    • Candidates must be results driven with the ability to multitask and must also be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory up to 75%.
    • Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs. from the ground to waist level.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

      Compensation & Benefits
      Expected pay range will be $59,120 to $78,860. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. This position is incentive eligible based on achieving certain targets.
