business.The Director, People Business Partner is a key role in
Matillion's People team. This is an opportunity for an experienced
People/HR Business Partner to create real change and value in a
fast-scaling technology business. You will play an essential role
in delivering the People strategy and advancing inclusive people
practices, whilst working closely with business leaders and
stakeholders.You'll be responsible for aligning business objectives
with functional plans, building and designing best in class
employee experiences, partnering directly with departmental
leadership, advising and coaching on all people related matters,
increasing engagement, building team capacity and capability, and
driving People Ops programs whilst ensuring legal compliance.We are
expecting this role to spend time with our teams in our Denver
office (c.2 days a week), so we are seeking candidates within a
commutable distance of Denver. What you'll be doing:Business
Partnering
- Act as a trusted partner and coach to our employees and Senior
Leadership Teams, understand the pulse of the business, proactively
identify organisational needs and propose solutions
- Support organisational Senior Leadership Teams to define and
implement their People plan
- Partner with the organisation to help define and provide
guidance on functional design and change projects aligned with the
global People plan, with the objective of creating efficiencies
across the business
- Partner with leadership to provide guidance on career pathing,
performance management, talent development and team building
- Lead on employee retention efforts
- Ownership and collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team on
open positions
- Help identify and supports the management of high performers
and under-performers
- Lead organisational processes, including annual performance
management cycle and annual salary review process
- Ensure there is consistent application, implementation, and
improvement of approved strategies at all levels within their
departments
- Work collaboratively with the wider People Ops Team to drive
all People-related initiatives and ensure efficient and effective
delivery of all People requirements within their departments
- Act as a coach and mentor to junior members of the People
team
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements and policies
related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks
and ensuring regulatory compliance Learning and Coaching
- Support the onboarding of all new leaders across their
organisation
- Provide coaching and guidance to help leaders develop to
perform optimally by effectively applying our People practices,
particularly around performance, remuneration, employee relations
and development
- Work closely with management and employees to improve working
relationships, build morale, and increase productivity, retention
and engagement
- Participate in leading, evaluating and monitoring of all
training programs to ensure return on investmentCulture and Change
- Partner with COEs on the full employee life cycle to develop
and execute programs
- Drive, influence, advise, and support the cultural and people
aspects of organisational change, organisational design, People
processes, policies and best practice initiatives
- Provide input into process improvement and transformation
within People processes and support the roll-out of centre of
excellence initiatives across the businessPeople Operations and
Metrics
- Utilise employee engagement and People analytics data to drive
key insights and plans
- Maintain People data integrity on HR Systems and adopt
effective reporting to support decision making
- Support with the implementation of HR systems and ensure your
functional areas are fully supported in the process
- Work closely with the entire People Ops team and be involved in
various cross team meetings, initiatives and projects We're looking
for:
- 5+ years' experience gained in a Senior HR Business Partner
role
- Ideally a relevant HR qualification, such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
or PHR/SPHR or equivalent (UK CIPD Level 7)
- Expert understanding of local employment law and application to
relevant people policies
- Strong business acumen and ability to work collaboratively
across the business
- Proactive, results-driven, and able to adapt and contribute
ideas to build and deliver exception People products and
services
- Experience in a fast-paced, high growth and tech business
- Ideally previous experience in a global role At Matillion, we
are committed to providing competitive salaries in line with market
standards. Our estimated compensation range for this position is
$116,000 - $150,000, but the final salary will be based on your
relevant skills, experience and qualifications demonstrated in the
