Overview
Huitt-Zollars' Denver, CO Office has a dynamic career opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager / Vice President to expand our local business in the Denver Region. This full time role manages a variety of projects including roadways, intersections, parks/recreation, trails, drainage, water/waste water systems, utilities, and site development. The successful candidate will have 15 years of previous engineering experience and will assist in providing strategic direction, financial performance, business and client development, staff supervision, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Conduct business development for projects and cultivate client relationships while identifying growth opportunities, promoting the firm's capabilities, and marketing its services among prospective clients
  
• Manage civil engineering projects for the local, county, and state agencies
  
• Develop, oversee, and monitor project activities including scope, budget, and schedule
  
• Interface with all project stakeholders including municipal clients, cities, utility districts, and selected state and federal agencies
  
• Work in all project phases from programming through project closeout
  
• Review and distribute work and resources among staff for efficient project completion
  
• Manage and supervise staff including mentoring/training
  
• Will serve as a Principal-in-Charge (PIC) on projects and operate as Vice President and Officer of the firm
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
    
  • Minimum 15 years of project management experience
    
  • Licensed PE in Colorado
    
  • Successful Business development experience -
    
  • Proficient in Civil 3D preferred, MicroStation a plus
    
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
    
  • Project Management Professional certification is a plus
    
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling and financial tools
    
    We offer a competitive benefit and compensation package including three medical plan options, dental, vision, life, long/short-term disability, and two retirement plans: 401(k) and ESOP.
    Annual Base Salary Range: $115,000-$130,000 DOE. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the success candidate's individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and consideration to participate in our discretionary annual bonus incentive program.
