We are DISH. Job Duties and Responsibilities: The Cloud Application Manager is responsible for the licensing, BAU support, and maintenance of the enterprise cloud applications at DISH. This position is responsible for setting the team vision/direction and development, properly managing resources, and managing vendor relationships. Additionally, the Cloud Application Manager is responsible for email infrastructure design and management, cloud application process creation and management, workload Intake and prioritization, contract negotiation, and cloud licensing renewals.Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Provide business and technical thought leadership
  • Provide direction and goal setting on strategy and operations.
  • Lead a team consisting of people with diverse skills and levels of experience
  • Manage work assignments amongst the team members
  • Deal with everyday people care issues
  • Foster continuous service delivery optimization and improvement.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships and resources to build and maintain platforms
  • Manage tight deadlines on complex deliverables to meet business needs
  • Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships with IT, other internal business partners, outside vendors, and executive teams.
  • Conduct regular one on ones with team members and conduct annual performance reviews
  • May be responsible for on-call duties and response to emergencies on-site as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Manager Skills, Experience and Requirements: A successful Cloud Application Manager will have the following:
    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with cloud application, including configuration and management systems like Slack, Rally, and Google Workspace.
    • Two years of management or supervisory leadership experience is preferred
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients
    • Highly-developed analytical skills; exceptional written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Detail-orientated and strong customer service skills
    • Team player who has the ability to work effectively with all levels of company personnel
    • Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively deliver information at executive levels and the entire organization.
