Chef/Kitchen Manager to perform the following duties:

Restaurant is seeking a Chef/Kitchen Manager. The role of this position will be to oversee BOH operations which includes line cooks and dish washers. Working chef/kitchen manager shall possess skills in working line along managing, ordering, inventory, scheduling, training and coaching. This is not an office job and will be expected to work the line.


* Minimum 5 years of kitchen management and culinary experience with proven leadership qualities.
* Must be able to work flexible schedule including mornings, nights, holidays & weekends.
* Must have experience in breakfast, lunch, dinner items and creating daily specials.
* Must be able to maintain consistent food and labor costs.
* Must be able to recommend menu items to improve current, suggest new & specials
* Oversee all phases of food procurement, production and service, including inventory, ordering, storage, rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, service and production time standards and cost control.
* Responsible for managing a staff of 6-12 employees, according to growth. In charge of hiring, training and scheduling all kitchen staff including, discipline and terminations. Must be able to motivate, communicate, ensure trust and lead by example.
* Must ensure compliance with health department requirements including servesafe certifications and must maintain a clean, drug free work environment at all times.
* Banquet experience is a must. The restaurant does several parties each month from separate banquet menus and the chef/kitchen manager must be able to plan, cook, and oversee these parties from beginning to end.
* Strong communication skills, punctual, reliable, trustworthy and professional
* Must have reliable transportation.
