We believe when money moves, better things happen.Relentless pursuit of betterWe'll be looking to you to direct and oversee a critical functional unit within Global Compliance and expand the approaches of monitoring and screening transactions, customers, entities, payment instructions, etc. Regulators are actively reviewing how Western Union is integrating technology and innovation into our AML/CFT, Sanctions, and anti-consumer fraud compliance programs. Your responsibilities will be diverse, and the position will be working to maintain and evolve industry-leading system solutions and analytical capabilities for the department, focusing on list screening, transaction filtering, product compliance solutions, and vendor/third-party oversight. You will lead a team of Compliance professionals that will span many Global Compliance activities across multiple business lines including banking and wallet product offerings in addition to money transfer solutions. You will also be responsible for Compliance data governance as well as global reporting for the department.Education or equivalent experience is required, with at least five years of relevant experience in complex retail/consumer financial services/payment services organizations with multiple financial products, or a regulatory agency or law firm involving payment services compliance issues relating to anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and related laws/regulations. You will also have at least three years of experience in a management/supervisory position with multiple direct reports. You'll have an understating of retail/commercial financial products and services as well as anti-money laundering regulations.
