  • Marketing message development: Reviews and interprets content and data, translating it into actionable marketing messages and takeaways for implementation across a variety of marketing channels
  • Marketing strategy and campaign creation and execution: This position works closely with our Research and Policy teams, translating project deliverables such as data and written briefs from these teams into actionable, multi-channel content and campaigns for NEFE initiatives
  • Marketing project planning and management: Scopes, plans, and oversees the implementation of multi-channel marketing and communications projects and campaigns. This includes creating scoping documentation, determining resources needed and time frame, managing implementation teams, developing assets as needed and deploying tactics.
  • Impact and engagement measurement: Gathers and analyzes data to assess the efficacy of engagement projects and tactics and provide recommendations for adjustments and improvements. Provides analysis and reporting of organizational KPIs.
  • General marketing and communications support: Supports the Engagement team as needed by monitoring and deploying communications on behalf of NEFE, creating social media and web content, overseeing the work of interns, deploying marketing and communications tactics, participating in project management activities and fulfilling marketing and communications-related requests from other teams and departments. - -Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Data literacy - demonstrated ability to interpret data findings from NEFE's research and polls, and translate them into multi-channel content for our audiences
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret and distill technical or specialized content into marketing messages across multi-channel campaigns
    • Experience creating marketing campaigns and strategies for multi-channel marketing that supports organizational strategy
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Basic skill with Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
    • Familiarity with marketing software tools such as Emma, Canva, Visme, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
    • Experienced writer/editor for both online and offline channels (website, emails, newsletter articles, print collateral, press releases, etc.)
    • Experience with use of CRM tool for contact management, project planning and assessment
    • Excellent written and verbal skills
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priority projects
    • Ability to set and adhere to a project budget
    • Ability to monitor NEFE social media channels during non-working hours as needed -Suggested Education or Formal Training - - - - - - -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience -Required Experience
      • 5+ years experience in a strategic marketing and/or communications role
      • Previous work in an academic, technical, or research focused organization a plus -Physical/Mental Demands of the JobPhysical demands of this position are aligned with that of general office-based work, such as: regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light or moderate lifting may be required. Ability to uphold the stress of occasional traveling. Reasonable accommodations may enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. -Working EnvironmentWork hours are generally 8:30 AM -5:00 PM Monday - Friday - up to 40% remote work is encouraged under normal circumstances. Employees work directly with their supervisor and HR to determine the work schedule best for them and provides sufficient overlap with other NEFE employees. NEFE consistently monitors the environment to maintain the health and well-being of our staff and has been (optionally) fully remote for most of the COVID-19 pandemic. -Travel requiredAbility to travel to conferences as needed (0%-25%) -CompensationThe base salary for this position is $68,000-$75,500 and commensurate with experience, with an additional annual bonus potential based on successful completion of goals.
