Job Description:
This is an on-site opportunity in Denver, Colorado. Relocation
Assistance WILL BE offered for right candidate. 40 person
engineering team with a VP of Engineering. This person will help
with strategy that allows them to scale their business while
reporting into their COO.
Our client is a SaaS based financial services organization that has
big aspirations for growth and is moving the needle on their
evaluated revenue projections. They have developed a product that
is the modern safety net for their clients.
Job Description:We are looking for a CTO to lead the technological
interests. Develop the technological vision, implement technology
strategies, and ensure that the technological resources are aligned
with business needs and strategy. Define and implement practical,
actionable strategies and develop roadmaps at the overall business
level that includes compelling visions for next-generation
capability, expanded technology transition and measurable positive
impact on our customers.
- Set the vision for how technology will be used across all
business sectors, ensuring that the technological resources meet
short and long-term needs. Provides essential leadership with an
appetite and energy for moving things forward at a rapid pace of
growth.
- Evaluate technologies to manage complexity, increase business
agility and evolve the technical platform to align with changing
business strategy, growth and future needs while improving overall
business processes and gaining efficiencies.
- Provide direction to technical experts to design, implement and
revise the required architectural structure (i.e., hardware,
software, apps, etc.) to meet current and future needs.
- Provide timely communication to leadership regarding current
projects, aligning to future business needs, problem resolution,
technology budgets, timeframes, and other status updates.
- Consult and advises business leaders on information technology
management needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Manage, escalate, and drive satisfactory resolution of
partner/customer issues.
- Champions teamwork, knowledge sharing, economies of scale, and
promotes the use of Shared Services capabilities across all
businesses.
- Continually evaluate business and technology opportunities,
identifies best practices, and implements as appropriate and drives
continuous improvement.
- Create timelines for the development and deployment of all
technological services.
- Ensures all technology practices adhere to regulatory
standards.
- Assess, identify, recruit, and retain talent to grow technical
expertise on current programs and builds talent for future program
proposals and execution.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Understand the end users, and develop a vision for the
product
- Architect, design, and lead develop operations, risk
management, and order routing software
- Work closely with traders, operations, risk management, etc.,
to understand end user needs and design a product that will help
all 3 user types monitor and manage crypto activities and
assets.
- Direct other leaders and sets strategy and priorities. Makes
decisions that affects a business unit and develops policies and
practices. Has authority over hiring/firing/performance
decisions.
Your Experience and Skills:
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security,
Computer Science, or other STEM disciplines
- At least 8 years of senior leadership experience in IT or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in financial services.
- Must have strong working knowledge and mastery of current
technologies and capabilities employed in the high technology
world
- Strong full spectrum leadership skills are essential for
setting vision and working across the business collaboratively to
align and drive strategic growth strategies.
- Capable of generating on-contract-growth through insertion of
innovation and technology on existing programs.
- Broad understanding of IT tools and technologies including
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Application Programming
Interface (API) Management/Integration, Human Capital Management
systems, etc.
- Excellent ability to recognize control weaknesses and
opportunities for process/operational improvements and develop
viable risk mitigation strategies and a proven collaborative
executive who is able to drive successful change throughout an
organization.
- Strong written, speaking and presentation skills (i.e., complex
product and solution demonstrations) in interacting directly with
customers in both written and verbal communication
- Experience in building and managing a team of developers
- General understanding of traditional buy or sell side trading
preferred
- Understanding multiple front-end and back-end languages and
libraries
- Knowledge of Cloud service providers and deployment tools
- Knowledge of project management approaches and version control
systems
- Detailed knowledge of the software development life cycle
- Experience building and managing enterprise level software with
solid foundations in designing software architecture and
infrastructure
- Care about designing highly functional systems with an emphasis
on top notch UI/UX.
