We are actively seeking a **Business Intelligence Manager** to join
our team!
**Work Responsibilities:**
Masco Support Services is looking for a Business Intelligence (BI)
Manager with a passion for driving business intelligence that helps
our team to evaluate complex issues and make informed decisions.
This BI Manager should be inquisitive with the ability to learn and
understand Masco Support Services' business needs. In addition, the
BI Manager should be capable of working in and leading developers
in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual must
have a strong business and technical acumen. The BI Manager should
be able and willing to pitch in and do individual contributor work,
be in the mix technically, while also providing leadership to your
team.
As the Business Intelligence Manager, you will:
+ Own the development and implementation of the BI and data
strategy, organizational structure, and technical architecture.
+ Provide data solutions related to business strategies in their
organization
+ Support and lead team on data initiatives and ensure optimal and
consistent data delivery architecture throughout projects.
+ Create and implement strategies to build a foundation to advance
our analytics roadmap
+ Recognize and adopt best practices and new tools and
methodologies in data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and
documentation
+ Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions and
help drive data driven decisions
+ Establish and maintain best practices for quality control such as
BI Governance and a BI development lifecycle
+ Work with project management team to achieve delivery excellence
for BI and analytics related projects
+ Collaborate and work closely with cross-functional groups to
implement solutions and deliver projects that meet their needs,
while making sure the priorities for your team are accurately
aligned to business needs
+ Identify and procure talent to sustain on an ongoing basis
+ Oversee strategy for transformation from on-premises BI
technology to modern data cloud platform technologies
+ Institute and oversee data governance guidelines and
practices
+ Liaison, partner, and establish relationships with key
collaborators across the organization to ensure agreement, maintain
compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and align data, BI,
and analytic strategies
+ Empower and mentor members of your team to grow their skills and
advance their career goals
+ Mentor and assist team with direction setting for tasks,
including working with the project manager to keep work on track
across the team
+ Evaluate and engage with 3rd party vendors for opportunities to
partner with our IT team
**Diverse Skills and Experience That You Will Bring to the
Role:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science,
Computer Science, Information Systems or an equivalent technical
field required
+ 7-10 years of experience in technology with progressive
responsibilities and influence
+ 2+ years experience leading and scaling growing analytical / BI
teams to deliver business value through data preferred
+ Proficient in SQL and understanding of data modelling
concepts
+ Proven understanding of data structures and algorithms
+ Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and operational excellence;
ability to simultaneously lead large projects and manage rapid
delivery of requests
+ Current with data trends and opportunities that align with data
objectives
+ Solid understanding of Power BI or other data visualization
tools
+ Knowledge of retail metrics a plus
+ Great interpersonal skills
+ Knowledge in advanced analytics (predictive and prescriptive)
tools & technologies such as SAS, R, Python is a plus
+ Advanced project management and organizational skills
+ Knowledge in software development methodologies such as Kanban
and Agile is a plus
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
