They are driven, strong communicators, relationship builders, and find real fulfillment in challenging work.The Manager, Learning Design & Development will be a member of a newly formed Learning Design & Development team within DaVita University's Center of Excellence (CoE). The CoE is a key component of our evolving Wisdom department and learning strategy for the Village. The Manager will work collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions that leverage a combination of learning modalities to maximize the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Manager leverages advanced instructional design techniques, including human-centered design and performs advanced training authoring including multi-modal content development. - This role provides consultation on adult learning best practices and mentors others in advanced content design and development. This Manager may have direct reports.Our ideal hire will have a strong background in advanced instructional design/learning experience design in all modalities, fulfillment with working in a fast-paced, agile environment, and demonstrated success working in teams.Preferred location for this position is Denver, CO, though we are open to 100% remote.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To -

  • Partners with program owners & business leaders to select best learning modalities for advanced technical and professional learning solutions (primarily in the areas of leadership, culture, professional skills) that drive capability development and business outcomes
    • Applies human-centered design and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE) to design and develop advanced multi-modal learning experiences, including simulation, gamification, live action video, instructor-led/virtual instructor-led, blended, and social learning.
      • Research, curate, and/or adapt existing content assets to incorporate into learning journeys and blended programs within our Digital Campus
        • Maintain, evaluate, and iterate on existing learning solutions to ensure content and learner experience are current, relevant, and engaging.
          • Research and share new data, methodologies and technologies to continuously improve and innovate learning solutions.
            • Develops and mentors designers in advanced content creation (such as live action videos, simulation, gamification, and emerging technologies) for high complexity learning experiences and journeys to address capability gaps
              • Supports the leader of the Learning Design & Development team to manage prioritization, capacity and utilization of resourcesMinimum Qualifications
                • 4+ years of work experience in adult learning design & development.
                • Experience applying human centered design and design thinking to develop training (instructor-led, self-study, web-based, virtual, videos)
                • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools/software (e.g. Articulate 360 Rise & Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Toonly) -
                • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
                • Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teamwork.
                • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands.Preferred Qualifications -
                  • Bachelor's Degree in education or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
                  • Proficiency with advanced content design: graphic design, live action, simulation, gamification
                  • Proficiency in a Learning Management System (e.g. Cornerstone on Demand)
                  • Formal Instructional Design training and/or certificationsTravel and Time Requirements
