General Summary of Job DutiesResponsible for facilitating, planning, organizing, and coordinating a variety of training sessions for both exempt and non-exempt employees using Jacobs Entertainment Inc. Corporate approved and/or developed training programs, videos, activities, presentations, and other collateral material.Principle Responsibilities and Duties Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.Implement all JEI Corporate Training & Development initiatives for all Black Hawk, CO properties in accordance with established deadlines.Facilitate and organizes JEI Corporate approved employee training sessions to include but is not limited to New Employee Orientation, New Supervisor Orientation, and F.A.S.T. Track Training (Company culture).Plan and organize training session materials (e.g. workbooks, manuals, guides, handouts, kinesthetic learning tools, session takeaways, completion certificates, sign-in sheets, training acknowledgments, training session evaluations, training reminder collateral, training announcement collateral, etc.)Utilization of JEI Corporate approved training session materials for all training sessions (e.g. workbooks, manuals, guides, handouts, kinesthetic learning tools, session takeaways, completion certificates, sign-in sheets, training acknowledgments, training session evaluations, training reminder collateral, training announcement collateral, etc.)Under the guidance and with the consultation and approval of the Colorado Director of Human Resources formulates training strategies, programs and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company operational processes, business systems or changes in procedures or services.Any and all changes, alterations, edits, revisions, variations, modifications, and/or adjustments of all Training & Development content, materials, etc. must be reviewed and approved by the Colorado Director of Human Resources prior to implementation or delivery of information.Provide feedback and input for all training sessions to the Colorado Director of Human ResourcesAccurately and timely enters, updates and maintains training records in HRMS.Maintains sign-in sheets for all training sessions in a dedicated binder or file for each location.Ensures training acknowledgments, tests, quizzes, etc. are completed by session attendees and updated accordingly in the employee file.Use the established reporting procedures provides training attendance updates to property management.Consult and collaborate with property leaders to assess training needs and works with the Colorado Director of Human Resources to develop programs to match these needs.Under the guidance and with the approval of the Colorado Director of Human Resources, plans training courses with technical and professional vendors.Based on JEI Corporate Training & Development guidelines, tools and assessments, counsels, tests and recommends employees for participation in internal or external educational training programs.Train assigned instructors (Train the Trainer) in effective techniques for training, such as adaptations to changes in policies, procedures and technologies or on the job training.Adheres to all Corporate and Property Training & Development goals, job expectations, guidelines, polices, procedures, and processes.Monitor Training & Development costs to ensure adherence to property budgets.Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.Maintain an open line of communication with Management.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.Other duties as assigned. Skills, Education and Other Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older.Bachelor---s degree in job related area or a minimum of three (3) years equivalent job related experience.High level of organization and attention to detail.High level of fluency in written and conversational English.Proven ability to successfully ensure a transfer of training from the classroom to the work environment.Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Office to include PowerPoint, WORD, EXCEL and Outlook.Ability to effectively facilitate and train in an environment that may be subject to outside distractions and session interruptions.TIPS Trainer Certification (must be obtained within sixty (60) days of assumption of position.)Problem Gaming Trainer Certification (must be obtained within sixty (60) days of assumption of position.)Other Training Certifications as determined for Training & Development needs.
