What You Will DoThe Sr. Manager, Copy is responsible for leading a team of copywriters creating and enforcing the overall brand voice and tone for The North Face. This role ensures consistency of voice in all communications and accountable for consumer facing copy and narrative across all channels. They works closely with Creative, Brand and Product teams and is a thought partner with the Senior Director of Brand Creative in the strategy and point of view of all copy communication. How You Will Make a Difference: --

  • Lead Copy across Brand Creative, Marketing and Ecomm organizations
  • Develop and champion The North Face brand voice to support overall marketing vision, objectives, and business needs
  • Drive and direct brand-right product storytelling and an approachable-yet-aspirational tone across creative efforts and consumer journey
  • Help lead differentiations in voice/tone in on-mountain and off-mountain narratives, and evolve brand's voice/tone to drive consistency and efficacy across channels
  • Collaborate effectively as a creative partner with internal cross-functional business partners, Marketing, Ecomm and external agencies
  • Actively inform brand strategy, resourcing and prioritization (i.e. quarterly planning, resourcing, project prioritization, etc.)
  • Develop and mentor copywriters to be best in class via timely, effective feedback and continue to create paths to grow within the organization
  • Encourage a high-output but fun collaborative team environment, strong sense of urgency, quality standards, creative exploration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Focus Copy team's efforts to ensure efficiency, projects prioritization, and effective talent-utilization
  • Inspire and motivate Copy team to create work that allows The North Face to remain the leaders in the outdoor space Skills for Success: --Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+ years technical and creative writing experience, preferably within the Outdoor industry or related field. 3-5 years in managementWhat You Bring
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience writing for different audiences in different voices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Detail oriented with an exceptional talent for proofreading.
    • Proficiency required in Word, Excel, Acrobat and PowerPoint on MAC platform.
    • Ability to drive planning for team members by setting prioritization of projects.--
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Exceptional command of the English language; additional fluency in language other than English a plus, but not necessary.
    • People management skills and experience.--

Salary Range:$116,640.00 USD - $174,960.00 USD annuallyAnnual Incentive Eligibility: This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.
