Description : Job Description Summary Provides strategic direction and vision of strategic objectives while partnering with business, technology, and project teams to drive the initiatives. Develop business case elements that may include business problem, outcomes, and benefits. Delve into unfamiliar business process, business areas, customers, or third parties to uncover factors that may impact the business solutions. Ability to align focus and drive efforts and objectives to the higher organizational strategy while applying the strategies to team activities. Will lead and develop staff. Job Description Responsibilities * Represent Transamerica as a business expert both internally and with external parties with an emphasis in understanding and managing the implementation of digital business solutions and requirements to deliver capabilities across the insurance value chain. * Manage sprint scope, planning, and execution driving successful implementations within the Transamerica architecture as well as, dependent and integrated environments with third party administrators and/or distribution partners. * Design user stories, business requirements, business process flows, wireframes, data requirements, and other artifacts core to insurance process execution and stakeholder experience and implement including user testing in partnership with Transamerica Technology and / or external technical vendors. * Translate business needs into system requirements documentation; provide information to end users in an easy-to-understand way. * Encourage and facilitate pods of subject matter experts and stakeholders who are focused on positive outcomes and relationships across the organization. * Serve as a point of contact for escalation issues from the third party; help manage the daily monitoring of activity with business and third party. * Provides direction and guidance for the end-to-end platform, capability or strategic initiatives that will include some to all of the following project leadership, project/platform development and execution and evaluation of results. * Prioritize of alternative solutions to drive results. Leading business management, leaders, and technology to prioritize the work to achieve the desired results. Saying "no", or "not now" when necessary. * Influence senior leaders and the business in a cross functional, diverse environment to transform and change the status quo. * Evaluate financial acumen to understand and explain the financial aspects of an initiative to business or financial teams. * While developing innovative and transformational solutions, enable the natural curiosity of a team, process, system and/or solution to support your guidance, direction and recommendations. Pushing past face value of obstacles and exploring from various stakeholder or "systems" perspectives. * Identify weaknesses, gaps and opportunities for improvement and report findings in a simple, compelling way. * Develop business case for proposed solution. Business case will include identification of the need, research of the business benefits and the development of proposed solutions and impacts, performing related data analysis relative to the business solution, business need or platform. * Identify and eliminate roadblocks in implementing large scale transformational initiatives. * Develop Cost Benefit Analysis to support the recommendations in a business case proposal. * Translate business needs into system requirements documentation and explain to the end user in an easy to understand way. * Recommend improvements across all aspects of operating model - re-design of organizational structure, process efficiencies and technology enhancements. * Develop communication materials that are targeted to the audience perspective, providing accurate information in a professional and engaging manner. Presentations will require a creative approach. * Assess risks to identify program and project level risks that could impede the successful implementation, are causing current operational losses or potential for future operational losses. Create and develop an organization communication plan and presentations. * Sponsor and advocate on behalf of stakeholders with Business Process Owners (BPOs), Technology Services, and outside third parties to effectively prioritize tasks that support the transformation and integration of Admin Services platform strategies. * Courage and integrity demonstrated by a willingness and desire to provide an accurate and fair assessment even in the face of controversy or adversity. * Partner with existing individuals and teams throughout the organization to create a cohesive network of working groups comprised of subject matter experts and stakeholders who are focused on positive outcomes and relationships for the entire organization. * Act as a change agent and strive to build unity at a time of change. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in business, organizational design or related field, or equivalent experience * Minimum of 10 years (12-15 desired) of broad general business experience and knowledge across many disciplines including: Business Process Analysis, Business Analyst, Benchmarking Performance, Project, Program or Change Management and 2 plus years of management experience. * Operations, technology, or large-scale project management experience - 5 years required, 10 years preferred. * Demonstrated work experience within business operations implementing process improvement solutions across multiple departments and disciplines simultaneously. * Broad knowledge of business operations and detailed knowledge of key business areas (5 or more preferred) that include general operations, accounting, claims customer service and insurance products. * Understanding to include including processes, metrics, and systems. * Knowledge of technical / systems environments, terminology, infrastructure. * Ability to analyze and understand technical system requirements documentation. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working on large scale projects within Operations or Technology. * FLMI designation. * Change Management or Lean certification. Working Environment * Office environment. * Moderate travel. Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Compensation: The salary range for this position generally ranges between 119k - 158k. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. Bonus Eligibility: This position is also typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 20%.
