Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and working closely with the leadership of the organization, the Chief People Officer will serve as a trusted advisor and a critical member of the executive team. S/he will have accountability for the people strategy for Company to ensure alignment between business strategy goals and corporate values. This role serves as an expert in design, delivery, and maintenance of compensation and equity structures that incentivize, motivate and align organizational goals with driving results within a publicly traded company. The CPO keeps the organization within the regulatory and corporate governance constraints consistent with SEC requirements. The CPO will work closely with Company 's executive leadership team to proactively lead people programs that will strengthen the organization 's ability to drive revenue growth, performance improvement, and operation excellence across the organization. The CPO will collaborate directly with the CEO and Board of Directors on a range of critical business issues including executive compensation, succession planning, and people strategy.
The CPO will have responsibility for all aspects of the human resources function including, but not limited to; talent acquisition and development, compensation, benefits, workers ' compensation, employee training, organizational development, succession planning, employee relations and merger and acquisition planning. The CPO will provide insight and perspective on the organizational culture, will play a key role in evaluating employee engagement, and in spearheading employee communication programs.
Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive leadership liaison on compensation for the Company Board of Directors and as a business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team on people strategy and operations.
  • Accountable for the people strategy for Company to ensure alignment between business strategy goals and corporate values.
  • Designs, delivers, and maintains compensation and equity structures that incentivize, motivate and align organizational goals with driving results within a publicly traded company.
  • Ensures the organization operates within the regulatory and corporate governance constraints consistent with SEC requirements. .
  • Responsible for design delivery and implementation of compensation and equity structures.
  • Serves as an advisor to the BOD Comp Committee and other committees as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with SEC regulations specific to publicly traded companies compensation, reward, audit and fiduciary and reporting responsibilities,
  • Responsible for leveraging technology and people analytics that assembles data from multiple sources and allows for the exploration of linkages between people and costs, risks, or revenue.
  • Creates comprehensive long range HR strategies that foster a culture and environment consistent with the mission and values of the organization.
  • Consult with business and functional leadership on HR strategy, tactical issues, and other policy matters while working closely with operational leaders to understand their specific needs. Communicate openly, succinctly, and often with all key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the current Company organizational structure and provide insight on operational clarity, redundancy, management capability, span of control considerations, and human resource expense allocation.
  • Develop a succession planning program for senior leadership positions that is sustainable and includes a considered communication plan.
  • Advances the Company compensation philosophy and associate salary structure with a focus on organizational consistency in total compensation programs.
  • Oversee the continuing development and administration of benefits and compensation programs for Company employees.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the HR operating budget.

    • Support an HR structure and HR leaders who can provide proactive service that advances the business.
    • Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives.
    • Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, team work, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained.
    • Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals. Travel Requirements

          REQUIRED
          Education
          • Graduate degree in Human Resources, business, management, business administration, or a related field; from an accredited college/university Work Experience and Qualifications
            • Experience with SEC Comp Reporting and Regulatory Reporting
            • Budgeting fiscal responsibility of human capital.
            • Demonstrated experience with mergers and acquisitions in high growth environment.
            • Has worked in private equity and publicly held companies.
            • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources and people management
            • Strong management skills and a minimum of 10 years of experience in supervising staff is required.
            • Must be also comfortable challenging the status quo so he or she can serve as a true adviser and partner to the CEO and the board.
            • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with utilizing Excel spreadsheets.
            • Current experience, knowledge and skill of human resources, people issues, accounting, budgeting, workers ' compensation, liability insurance, cost estimating, organizational structures, operating procedures, policy formulation and development/implementation of new strategies and procedures, governance, SEC regulatory compliance. Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
              Computer Skills
              • Must be computer proficient and possess experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
              • Must be able to quickly learn specific software and new applications. Mathematical/Financial Skills
                • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
                • Able to analyze data and statistics and draw reasonable conclusions and compile accurate reports.
                • Experience with P/L and developing and managing budgets Language Skills
                  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and other documents.
                  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and tactfully present information to, and communicate with, co-workers, employees, and others.
                  • Possess exceptional English written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence knowledge.
