Description Learning is the most powerful force for change in the

services in nearly 200 countries, all working towards a common
purpose - to help everyone achieve their potential through
learning. We do that by providing high quality, digital content and
learning experiences, as well as assessments and qualifications
that help people build their skills and grow with the world around
them. We are the world's leading learning company. Learn more at
pearsonplc.com. Pearson is featured on The Forbes list of Best
Employers and The Stonewall Top 100 Employers list, and we are
recognized in the Best Employers for Diversity 2019 awards. Pearson
is listed on both the London and New York Stock Exchanges (UK:
PSON; NYSE: PSO). Context The shift within Higher Education from
one-time purchases of print textbooks to recurring subscriptions of
digital products has generated a wealth of data about our products
and customers. We need a leader who can take this information and
leverage the latest data analytics tools to provide insight into
the performance of our product portfolio. Reporting to the Vice
President of Business Intelligence, and sitting within the
Strategy, Planning and Operations team, the Director of Business
Intelligence Analytics role leads the analyses of the sales
pipeline, net sales, subscriptions, and market data across multiple
formats, models and channels to evaluate and forecast how well we
are meeting the demand for our offerings in the market
Responsibilities Lead a global team of 5 data analysts to provide
accessible, consumable insight into the success of our higher
education print and digital products. Collaborate broadly across
product, marketing, sales, finance, support, and other stakeholders
to ensure that we are leveraging data to make informed strategic
decisions about the North America Higher Education portfolio.
Manage the complete lifecycle of a large and growing collection of
Tableau dashboards, ensuring that useful views are maintained with
the latest features and capabilities, while consolidating or
retiring those that are longer needed. Provide ad-hoc reports for a
global, diverse group of senior executives. Partner closely with
multiple data engineering teams as a key stakeholder for roadmap
requests that will advance our ability to derive insight from data.
Champion a culture that leverages data at every level of our
decision-making processes, while constantly pushing iterative
improvements, and never letting perfection be the enemy of the
good. Push our analytics capabilities from self-service, 'pull'
analyses to predictive and early-alert 'push' insight into product,
sales, and market trends. Improve our forecasting capabilities by
drawing from a number of disparate data sets. Essential Skills
include: Detailed understanding of the sales business process,
including lead generation, opportunity pipeline management, and
customer segmentation. Ability to translate business needs and use
cases into technical specifications and functional requirements for
the data engineering and warehousing teams, while also being
capable of explaining those same topics to non-technical members of
the leadership team. Familiarity with how the different verticals
within a large, global organization come together to drive business
success, with insight into how data is used for decision making
from product ideation to development, launch, marketing, sales,
operations, and support. Comfort in embracing the wild, messy data
that is inherent in legacy and third-party platforms utilized by a
global company spanning multiple silos and geographies.
Understanding of technical debt, and how to ensure that we are
always moving forward while simplifying and standardizing when
needed. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including
the ability to articulate complex topics and thoughtfully present
them to senior leaders of the firm. Strong time-management and
organizational skills to balance multiple competing priorities.

anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based candidates
expressing interest in this position is $132K. This position is
