position is $66,600 - $69,400 at a CAT II level for 12 months. The
salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based
upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal
equity, education, experience, specialty and training.The above

estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of

Summary The Department of Human Services and Counseling at
Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applications for
a full-time, 12 month (renewable) ( CAT II) Clinical Director for
our new Masters in Clinical Behavioral Health, Emphasis in
Addictions Counseling Program. In addition to teaching in the
undergraduate and graduate programs, the position will provide
leadership in the development and management of the graduate
counselor training program.While the nature of this position
requires the employee to be on-site and have an outward presence
for students, faculty and staff, there is the ability to complete
some work remotely. The position will start with the 2021-2022
academic year.The University is particularly interested in
applicants who have experience working with students from diverse
backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to
higher education for under-represented groups.
Duties/Responsibilities Academic Year:60% Administration
This position will include 18 credit hours of re-assigned time to
provide clinical and administrative oversight of graduate clinical
training program; this will include supervising graduate trainees
and personnel assigned to the clinic. The Clinical Director will
secure counseling space, facilitate referral of students from the
MSU -Denver Counseling Center, and make clinical assignments for
all trainees. Other administrative functions include assisting the
department chair on the clinic budget, evaluating and supervising
clinic personnel, coordinating field placements with the Director
of Field Education, and promoting inter-professional collaboration
with other campus clinics and healthcare disciplines. The Clinical
Director is also responsible for developing the clinic handbook and
ensuring ethical, legal, and administrative policy compliance for
all relevant accreditors, including oversight of records in
accordance with HIPAA and FERPA expectations. This position works
collaboratively with all faculty. The job duties will be 100%
administration during the summer months.40% Teaching
The successful applicant will teach 12 credit hours per academic
year in the Human Services and Counseling undergraduate and
graduate programs. Depending on degree and licensure, the applicant
will focus on addiction related courses. Teaching may include
face-to-face, on-line or hybrid teaching. Face-to-face and/or
synchronous teaching will include day, evening and weekend courses
as determined by departmental needs. Required Qualifications ---
Behavioral Health License ( LAC , LPC , LFMT , LCSW , LP)
--- 2 yrs. post-license clinical experience
--- 2 yrs. behavioral health program development and/or management
experience
--- 2 yrs. evidence of successful teaching in higher education
Preferred Qualifications --- Doctorate (behavioral health)
--- LAC (or out-of-state equivalent that can readily transfer to
CO)
--- Experience with CACREP accreditation process
--- Experience with academic, counselor training programs Posting
