InCommon Community Success Manager Do you like building and
managing relationships with highly motivated volunteers? Jazzed
about helping others use and influence the direction of
community-source software? Looking for a role in a not-for-profit
tech company? Internet2 is seeking an InCommon Community Success
Manager to help drive the community programs around the InCommon
group of services and software. Our platform is used by almost 1000
research and education organizations to enable learning and
discovery. The right candidate will build on highly successful
existing programs and services, including facilitating software
user and working groups, developing flagship workshops and
meetings, and managing outreach opportunities.Internet2 is a
community providing a secure high-speed network, cloud solutions
and identity and access management services tailored for research
and education. Our community includes higher education, research
institutions, government entities and cultural organizations. As a

serves.ResponsibilitiesThe InCommon Community Success Manager will
have overall responsibility for building and fostering a
transparent and collaborative cycle of planning, development and
community involvement. The individual will work as part of a highly
collaborative cross-functional team that securely, reliably and
scalably delivers InCommon services and software to the research
and education community. This full-time staff position is ideally
based in Denver, Colorado and reports to the Internet2 Associate
Vice President for Trust and Identity. Other locations and remote
work options will be considered. Frequent domestic travel is
expected. Availability outside of normal office hours may be
required for critical problem resolution issues.Serve as program
lead for our community-source support programs for the InCommon
Trusted Access Platform including establishing and managing user
groups and feedback loops with developers. Serve as project lead
for InCommon's flagship meetings and popular webinars, where
individuals from member organizations and international
collaborators convene and share challenges, solutions and ideas.
Manage the volunteer relationship cycle including stages of
recruiting, welcoming, engagement and appreciation to help
individuals contribute and understand their value. Work with key
community groups to develop innovative ways for the community to
gather and share challenges and solutions and engage. Provide key
support for working groups and advisory boards, including new
member orientation, refining working group processes and logistics,
shepherding community input for new processes and programs, and
representing community needs in self-service applications. Track
contributors and their skill sets to connect them with
opportunities for growth and participation. Work with other
divisional staff, and Internet2 community engagement, convening,
and communication staff to align these programs with other
Internet2 programs and initiatives. Provide reports to management
and community representatives about volunteer
participation.Position RequirementsOutstanding interpersonal,
written and verbal communication, relationship building skills.
Outstanding convening and team management skills including ability
to motivate volunteers. Outstanding documentation skills including
writing process requirements and descriptions. Demonstrated ability
to develop requirements for and quickly adopt new technologies,
approaches, and tools. Demonstrated ability to work with a remote
team with diverse skill sets and backgrounds to achieve shared
goals in delivering a service or product. Creation of basic
reporting documents from diverse data sets. Desired Skills and
Experience5 years of experience in technical business development,
community-building or partnership management experience Bachelor's
degree in business, communications, marketing, journalism, or
related discipline Technical writing skills Prior experience in
working in open-source development environments, higher education,
research organizations, or non-profits. Knowledge of Internet2 and
the trust and identity work of InCommon. Experience in conducting
business process analysis. Experience managing budgets. Internet2
