Responsibilities The American Heart Association (AHA) has an
excellent opportunity for a Youth Market Director (YMD) in Colorado
Springs. Under the direction of the Vice President, the YMD is
responsible for implementing the American Heart Association's Kids
Heart Challenge, American Heart Challenge, and District Heart
Challenge. This position works with school-based coordinators
(typically the PE Teacher) and the school principal to raise funds
through our school based educational fundraising program. The YMD
will act as the American Heart Association liaison with
superintendents, district staff, and school-based staff in the San
Antonio area (you can enter territory info here, as needed). We
have 145 active school accounts and a total of about 500 schools in
the territory. The goal for this position is $350,000 for FY21.
This position is also responsible for performing assemblies
throughout many of the schools and must be comfortable presenting
to a large group of children and adults. This position is
responsible for achieving income and recruitment goals through the
management of existing customers, and prospecting for and
cultivating of new school accounts. This position is currently a
home-based position with travel but will require you to be in the
territory 75% of your time once restrictions have been lifted. We
offer a yearly salary, incentive for exceeding the fundraising
goals, travel reimbursement and a great benefits package.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
College coursework combined with related experience may be
substituted for a degree.
- Must have the ability to lift at least 20 lbs from the ground
to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.

office-related computer programs used for word processing, email,

is eligible for our full benefits and retirement packages, generous
PTO accrual, paid holidays in addition to the week of December 25th

minimum to midpoint of the range $61,500 to $81,400.-- Pay is
commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay
range may apply.-- AHA reserves the right to pay more or less than
the posted range. Any difference between actual compensation and
the posted range will be based on factors other than race, color,
religion, sex (including pregnancy) or national origin. This
position is incentive eligible based on achieving certain targets.
Employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible
to participate in the medical, dental, and vision plans the first
of the month following 30 days of service. AHA subsidizes the
medical and dental cost to ensure benefits are affordable. Eligible
dependents under AHA's group benefit plans include legal spouse,
domestic partner, children under the age of 26 or who are disabled.
AHA offers additional benefits like an EAP, telehealth benefit for
general medical and behavioral health, flexible spending accounts,
life insurance, and disability.
Retirement Plans: AHA retirement plans offer employees a way to
start saving after their first paycheck. The retirement plans
provide employer contributions after two years of service. If you
have previous 501(c)(3) non-profit experience, within the last 5
years, at a national health agency, an institution of higher
learning or a medical institution, that experience may count
towards the two-year waiting period. Employees are 100% vested in
employee and employer contributions.
Paid Days Off: Regular full-time and part-time employees earn Paid
Time Off (PTO) based on years of service. PTO begins accruing on
date of hire. Full time employees receive one paid Community
Service time off day per year and are encouraged to participate in
projects, programs and organizations which contribute to the health
and vitality of their communities. AHA also offers 12 paid holidays
Leaves of Absence: AHA offers both Short Term and Long Term
Disability benefits which replace earnings if you are unable to
work due to a non-work-related illness or injury. Employees are
eligible for Short Term Disability after 90 days of service and are
eligible for Long Term Disability after being disabled for 90 days
or more. Eligible employees can take up to 12 weeks off of work for
a qualified leave of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act
(FMLA), intermittent FMLA leaves and leave as an accommodation
under the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA).
