Strategic Accounts Director (638321) - Fully Remote/Virtual Office Zimmer Biomet is a world leader in musculoskeletal health solutions. The Strategic Accounts Director is responsible for identifying and implementing enterprise wide solutions within targeted customers that improve patient outcomes, lower total cost of care, and accelerate Zimmer Biomet growth. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and expand relationships with C-Suite, Senior Supply Chain/Sourcing Executive and Orthopedic Clinical Leadership within targeted customers and geographic markets that provide a competitive advantage for Zimmer Biomet.
  • Leverage deep understanding of market trends and key customer challenges to identify the Zimmer Biomet Strategic Accounts solutions that will be most effective in helping customers improve their outcomes and lower total costs.
  • Develop and foster highly effective relationships across a matrix of indirect distributors, direct sales specialists, marketing, product development, operations teams and provide account team leadership to deliver innovative customer solutions.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge base of customer aggregation models, negotiation strategies and practices, emerging intermediaries as well as Zimmer Biomet's pricing policies and procedures to provide leadership across the Zimmer Biomet's sales matrix during the contracting and pricing process.
  • Establish a broad foundation of knowledge of the Orthopedic disease states, product and service solutions within the Zimmer Biomet and competitive portfolio's to serve as a consultative resource for customers on emerging, potentially disruptive Orthopedic technology. Expected Areas of Competence
    • Demonstrated ability to lead high functioning multi-market account teams
    • Ability to identify customer interests and develop innovative solutions that deliver joint value creation
    • Demonstrated ability to leverage strong analytical, business acumen and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster highly effective relationships internally as well as externally
    • Demonstrated results in selling medical devices, surgical products, capital, as well as service solutions
    • Broad knowledge of medical device industry and market dynamics
    • Solid knowledge of healthcare provider economics, healthcare reform, and market trends
    • Executive level oral and written communication skills
    • Detail orientated with strong project management skills
    • Highly proficient and self sufficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Education/Experience Requirements
      • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent; MBA or related Master's degree highly preferred
      • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, sales management, and national accounts, where specific actions resulted in substantive performance enhancement for the organization.
      • Industry experience within the Medical Device market is highly preferred, with a mix of capital devices and disposables
      • Multi-functional experience in sales, marketing, solutions selling and finance is highly preferred Travel Requirements
