Micron is looking for an Senior NVMe SSD Validation engineer with direct NVMe product validation experience to work in our Longmont, Colorado Enterprise SSD Design Center. As a Senior NVE SSD Validation Engineer within the Enterprise Solid State Drive (SSD) Engineering group at Micron Technology, Inc., you are responsible for working with SSD design teams to define test plans, lead execution of product testing, lead failure analysis efforts and final reporting of product test results. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: For this position, it is essential to have the ability to drive validation engineering efforts through all phases of the product lifecycle with a strong focus on system level debug. You must have excellent communication, documentation, leadership and problem-solving skills* Validation to SSD design specifications* Development, review and execution of SSD test plans* SSD failure analysis to root cause* Identifying and closing test and process holes* Leading a team of validation engineers* Identifying quality metrics, setting quality expectations and measuring quality improvements Minimum Qualifications:* NVMe architecture development, design and/or test experience* Strong understanding of SSD architectures* Strong understanding of NAND technology and architecture* Demonstrated Python programming experience* Thorough understanding of logic analyzers, bus analyzers and digital scopes and how to use these tools to debug SSDs* Education: BS or better in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience Preferred Skills:* Ability to read and understand FW code* Ability to analyze complex firmware, software, and hardware issues in system* Understanding Object Oriented Programming concepts* Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems* Ability to analyze problems, diagnose to root cause, and apply corrective actions* Ability to develop product level test plans* Work well in a team environment* Collaborate across geographic sites and time zones* Ability to lead a team of validation test engineers About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
