Job Description Job Description Hydraquip is looking for a
candidate who wants to take the next step in their technical sales
career to join our 100% employee-owned company. Hydraquip has four
divisions: electric systems, fluid power, service & repair, and
fluid conveyance. With offices in Houston, Memphis, San Antonio,
Dallas, Tulsa, Denver, and Lafayette, Hydraquip has a broad
footprint with many opportunities for growth within the company.
The Sales Engineer will play an important role at Hydraquip to
assist with the growth of Hydraquip Electric Systems business unit.
You will work closely with customers to understand their needs,
provide technical expertise, and deliver tailored solutions for a
wide range of electric drivetrain and generation systems. You will
be responsible for identifying new industries, target accounts and
applications for sales growth as well as building relationships
with account managers across all Hydraquip business units and
manufacturer partners. Salary Range: $70,000 - 90,000 annually
Specific responsibilities may include: Client Engagement: Build and
maintain strong relationships with existing and potential
customers, understanding their system needs for: Electric and
hybrid electric drivetrain systems for various off-highway, marine,
and other applications. New control systems such as electric or
hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, sensors, and other hardware that
interface with PLCs and/or HMIs. Hydraulic and power generation
systems to be used and/or integrated with electric and hybrid
electric drivetrain systems. Technical Consultation: Provide
technical expertise and guidance to customers, in cooperation with
engineering team helping them to design, install, and implement new
fully electric and electrohydraulic systems. Order entry, project
management and order tracking in P21 ERP system. Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed
sales targets and revenue goals. Product Knowledge: Stay up to date
on the latest electric systems, products, and industry trends to
effectively promote, design and implement new system solutions.
Quotation and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate and
competitive quotations and proposals in response to customer
inquiries. Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and contracts
with clients, ensuring win-win solutions, and close sales deals.
Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities,
customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM tools. Market
Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and
customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.
Other duties as assigned Requirements Education & Training: BSEE,
BSME, BAEET (ABET accredited university), or equivalent technical
degree with equivalent experience. PLUS1 Certified or PLC training
from any of the widely used PLC manufacturers (Siemens, Allen
Bradley, IDEC) is strongly desired. Fluid power experience and
fluid power specialist certification are a plus. Experience: 1-3
years of experience in the application and development of power
systems using electric machines, power electronics, generators,
etc. Working knowledge of system and electrical engineering
principles and processes is a plus. 1-3 years in a customer-facing
technical support role. Knowledge, and Skills: Knowledge of working
with power systems, grid p electronics, PLC programming & mobile
control systems – PLUS1 preferred. Ability to read electrical and
hydraulic schematics. Ability to work in a fast-paced “startup”
environment and quickly shift between customer projects and
priorities. Excellent communication skills – orally & written –
with both internal stakeholders (sales, technicians) and external
stakeholders (manufacturer partners & customers) Results-oriented
and "hands-on" approach. Possess strong organization skills, strong
customer focus and orientation. Must be highly organized and able
to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Benefits We offer a
