Job Duties and Responsibilities
-Our mission is to build a modern, hybrid cloud enterprise platform
for all DISH to consume. - Our environment is--- -

- Very fast-paced -You will be part of team that will be, -
- Building an enterprise-wide cloud-native, web-scale platform
and the tooling that surrounds it, that will be adopted by
engineering teams across various business units within DISH
- Enabling the core platform services for our organization to
consume - AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, service discovery, private cloud,
etc
- Driving a customer-centric, highly personalized approach to the
evolution of our platform
- Continuing our efforts to realize a robust hybrid cloud
infrastructure
- Designing and building service catalog, software templates,
developer portal offering to enable self-service
- Building connectivity across Multi & Hybrid cloud
infrastructures using virtual and physical networking
technologies
- Offering DevSecOps tools as a service to engineering teams -
Gitlab, Artifactory, Consul, Vault, Argo, etc
- Enabling CI/CD for a large complex set of diverse
applications
- Enabling the core platform services for our organization to
consume - AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, service discovery, DNS, IPAM, load
balancing, private cloud, etc
- Build & Manage advanced AWS services like SSO, Organization,
Service Catalog, Step Functions, Account Factory, Control Tower -
Landing Zone
- Building a next-generation cloud platform based on Docker,
Rancher, Kubernetes, Consul, and Vault
- Driving a customer-centric, highly personalized approach to the
evolution of our platform
- Maintain, optimize cloud platform hosting massive, complex
systems for performance, security, reliability, and
scalability
- Innovate automation capabilities in the cloud platform and
create new feature sets as per the application patterns for hosting
in the cloud
- Helping application development, operations, testing,
delivering software in an agile environment, continuously.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
-Education: -Having a 4-year college degree in Computer Science /
Information Technology, a master's degree is preferred or
equivalent professional experience -Experience: - Have 10+ years of
professional enterprise development, operations, SRE, platform,
and/or infrastructure experience -Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with networking Concepts (Routing, VLANs, VXLAN,
VPCs, Route Tables, Subnet management), Cloud WAN, Private Links,
VPC Peering; - Network Services (DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, TLS, and SNMP),
and understanding of the TCP IP protocol suite
- Should have a good understanding of how to secure internal
subnets against external Internet traffic by utilizing different
technologies such as load balancers, firewalls, DMZ zoning, and
VLAN segregation
- Experience in implementing automation in Cloud environments;
ability to mentor and train internal technical teams
- Supports application developers and identifies/solves
configuration and environment issues related to the network
- Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, Firewall,
X509, DLP and hybrid/Cloud Security environments
- Will have considerable AWS and Linux skills, as well as DevOps
skills around CI/CD and experience with tools such as GitLab
(deploying using runners, etc.)
- Working knowledge and experience with project and portfolio
management tools, preferably Jira, google suite
- Excellent verbal and writing skills and the ability to
communicate effectively with all levels
- Deep understanding of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF,
EVPN, VXLAN,TCP, and DNS
- Detailed understanding and hands-on experience working with AWS
Networking components, Transit Gateway, Virtual Gateway, Internet
Gateway, VPC, Shared VPC, ELB, NLB, Flow logs, Web Application
Firewalls, and Route53 Knowledge and hands-on management of Palo
Alto Firewall appliances
- Ability to design and support secure networks within and across
accounts in AWS Control tower, - communications with cloud to
in-house network.
- Experience developing and applying Access Control Lists and
Security Groups to protect virtual assets and services.
- Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems with
multiple variables
- Excellent communication skills to both technical and
non-technical leadersWork Attire: - Business Casual -This position
will be onsite out of our Englewood, CO or American Fork, UT
offices
Salary Range
Compensation: $140,250.00/Year - $165,000.00/Year

guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors
such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation
