Hydraulic Modeling Engineer - Denver, CO (Remote-Flexibility)
AE2S is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeling Engineer for its
Denver, Colorado office. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented and

look no further...join our growing firm now! The Hydraulic Modeling
Engineer will work across water and wastewater infrastructure
planning and design projects to perform analysis and design
activities in support of municipal water projects while also
contributing to business development efforts and mentoring.
Projects include but are not limited to water system master plans,
hydraulic distribution system modeling, water audits, water quality
studies, water supply sustainability, systems design, replacement
analysis, and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Perform research and related analytical tasks for water,
recycled water, and wastewater masterplans, urban water management
plans, asset management plans, water supply assessments, risk
assessments, flow monitoring reports, etc.
- Perform innovative modeling for complex hydraulic analyses and
infrastructure design.
- Design, develop, calibrate, and apply hydraulic models to
analyze and assess systems such as water supply, pumping, treatment
and storage facilities, water transmission, water distribution and
wastewater collection infrastructure.
- Lead master planning projects involving model development,
model calibration, existing system analysis, future growth
planning, identification of improvements, capital improvements
planning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring on master planning and
hydraulic modeling projects.
- Utilize traditional and non-traditional approaches to
alternative prioritization and risk analysis. Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hydraulics, water resources, or related
engineering field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability
to obtain within 6 months
- 4-8 years of experience in hydraulic modeling with demonstrated
knowledge of system hydraulics, hydraulic modeling software, flow
factor development and projections, alternative scenario analysis,
or related experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and Innovyze
Modeling Software
- Demonstrated experience in technical modeling and analysis,
technical writing and presentation, and project management
- Ability to travel as required for project/client and business
development responsibilities
- Ability to manage projects, clients, and project team
members
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects that are
on time and on budget while meeting or exceeding client
expectations
- Strong oral and written communication skills Preferred
Qualifications
- Master's degree in related engineering field
- Experience in water distribution system modeling, wastewater
collection system modeling, design of water distribution systems,
design of wastewater collection systems, pump station design, and
lift station design
- Previous pressure pipe hydraulic modeling and/or gravity pipe
system hydraulic experience Advanced Engineering and Environmental

subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience,
