Job Description:
Eaton's ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division division is
currently seeking a Controls Engineer.
Relocation assistance will be provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 -
$91300.04 a year.

What you'll do:
The Controls Engineer is a key contributor to the overall success
of the production operation. This position is a mix of industrial
controls and mechanical design. You will report directly to the
Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will have direct interaction
with Product Engineering and Operational Excellence as well as
various support functions.
In this function you will:
Provide production support as needed. Troubleshoot, determine root
cause, and repair production equipment as it pertains to machine
controls. Assist maintenance as required.
Identify automation and robotic opportunities in the plant. Develop
cost estimates and analysis for the automation.
Plan, layout, install, program, and troubleshoot electrical
controls and equipment including PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, etc.
Development of PLC control programming and HMI applications
primarily focused on the Rockwell RS Logix family of PLC and the
FactoryTalk View Studio HMI software platforms for
new/used/upgraded equipment.
Develop standard specifications to be used on all new or updated
automation systems.
Generate electric circuit drawings, various wiring diagrams,
power-system schematics, and single-line drawings to document
designs using AutoCAD.
Defining, requesting, and coordinating the purchase of electrical
materials, components, equipment, and support services for the
construction, assembly, and conditioning of prototype parts and
machines.
Provide training support to Operations personnel in the proper
setup, function, and control of automated manufacturing equipment.
Create and update process documentation as needed.
Contribute to ZISC (Zero Incident Safety Culture) by following
safety practices and policies, identifying and minimizing hazards,
and promoting a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of
five (5) years of experience with programming highly automated
equipment including PLC and robotics OR a Bachelor's degree in
Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of one (1)
year of work experience in programming highly automated equipment
including PLC and robotics
Experience with Rockwell RS Logix family of PLC and the FactoryTalk
View Studio HMI software
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate
sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering,
or equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) years of experience in programming and system
development.
Minimum three (3) years of experience with PLC
programming/troubleshooting with Allen Bradley and HMI
configuration experience including graphical screen development
using Allen Bradley Factory Talk View.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
ABB robotics experience
