Honeywell's
ACST team is seeking an -Electrical Engineer - Magnetics for
our Broomfield, CO location. -

Are
you ready to help us make the future?YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE: -

Directing the design, fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of magnet systemsApplying optimization theory using standard symbolic and/or numerical toolkitConducting fundamental physical investigations that utilize electromagnetic systemsPartnering with subject matter experts to design and/or operate cryogenic systemsTaking initiative to perform tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction -YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience designing and operating electromagnet systems
  • U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance


    WE VALUE
    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Experience using high performance computing resources for numerical model development
    • History of developing superconducting magnet systems
    • Experience developing and characterizing superconducting magnet components, such as quench detection/protection, superconducting joints, and persistent current switches
    • Experience designing systems for coupled electromagnetic, thermal, and structural physics
    • Knowledge of magnetic field sensing technology, such as MRI
    • Knowledge of software for magnet design, e.g., Comsol, ANSYS, or similar
    • Knowledge of Matlab, Python, LabView in a lab environment.
    • Capacity to embrace a culture of teamwork to overcome challenging design tasks while maintaining awareness of individual strengths and weaknessesCompensation & Benefits:

      Non-Incentive Eligible
      Salary Range: $96,000. - $144,000.
