Bachelor's of Science--degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
Engineering discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant
experience* Practical Knowledge of engineering principles and
practices* Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools*
Familiarity--working in multi-disciplinary design--and development
teams* The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security
Clearance is required Learn more about the background check process
for Security ClearancesPreferred:* Background--in the Aerospace and
Defense Industry * Experience in DoD DMSMS and Obsolescence
Management* Experience with sustainment engineering for aircraft in
a deployed environment* Understanding--of Engineering Simulation
such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis* Engineering Change
Proposal (ECP) development* Service Bulletin (SB) development*
Experience with foreign vendors* Able to multi-task in a
matrix-based organizational environment* Knowledge of
industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not
limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material
hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes*
Experience--to leading a multi-disciplinary design and development
team and communicating with program management and customers.*
Experience with databases; Data Collection and Management,
including decision support data analysis techniques* Familiarity
with mathematical analysis techniques such as Statistical or
Probability Analyses* Familiarity with preparation and development
of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and
schedule management.* Past history of leading baseline definition
and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use
of highly integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics,
parts lists, specifications, instructions and test
proceduresIMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to
obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S.
Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active
U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-US citizens may not be

agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance
