The Civil/Structural Engineer participates in (but not limited to) the following activities:

• Provide technical support to the diverse design team including civil design, structural analysis, conceptual and detailed design drawings and reporting.
• Using initiative and judgement, develop safe engineering solutions such as developing designs, analyzing and resolving problems, and interpreting engineering specifications on projects and/or operations.
• Participate in site visits and inspections, which could include reviewing shop drawings, field reports and developing field instruction memos.
• Work with diverse teams of engineers, designers and drafters. The successful applicants will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/structural engineering, ideally with Professional Engineer registration in California, and 8+ years of relevant design experience.-- Relevant experience would preferably be related to the structural design of hydraulic structures, dams, intake structures, pipelines, penstocks, pump stations and powerhouses for the hydropower and mining sector. Some working experience with AutoCAD and hydraulic design experience would be regarded as significant assets. Above all, we are looking for someone that's is responsible and a good team player. This position may include domestic and international travels and may involve extended field-work assignments.
