We are seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer with a Bacheloraposs degree in Radio Frequency Engineering or a related Engineering field and at least 10 years of relevant experience. What to look forward to As an RF Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop our complex products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Youaposll be responsible for RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital conversion, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Your technical responsibilities include developing and executing our product testing and integration planning. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with the full life-cycle of space telecommunication and RF payload systems and test-like-you-fly campaign development. Excellent communication skills required in both verbal and written Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams Previous experience and skills in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test Must be able to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment with emphasizes in rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities Strong propensity for System-level thinking. An ability to understand wide-reaching impacts of decisions across the system. Ability to decompose large complicated problems into manageable pieces, understand problems from different points of view, and explain issuessolutions to other engineers and management. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with and coordinating subject matter experts whose depth of knowledge may exceed their own while still providing a perspective that comes with breadth of knowledge Domain expertise in Space Segment Telecommunications subsystem design Tools expertise STK, DOORS, Rhapsody, DXL, JIRA, Excel VBA, ANSYS HFSS Experience in spacecraft testing Experience working on complex systems Preferred Problem Solver Create solutions to complex problems, and integrate disparate systems and concepts Research and analyze alternative technologies Lead trade studies Author technical and engineering memos to document decisions and solutions as required Technical Lead the RF design and analysis efforts on spacecraft baselines to meet technical, schedule and cost requirements on multiple programs and proposals simultaneously Work with teams of subsystem engineers (mechanical electrical) in decomposition of customers' technical requirements, generation of specifications, statements of work, control documents, plans, and reports in support of programs across their lifecycle Lead program efforts to interpret RF objectives, generate requirements, and decompose them into hardware and subsystem requirements and specifications Conduct engineering activities to develop spacecraft baselines to meet technical requirements and support business development Conduct trade studies on RF systems involving signal parameterization, collection strategies, sensitivityprocessing analyses, and geolocation analyses to meet requirements Lead RF signals collectionprocessing analysis mission designs, detailed payload and payload interface designs and RF systems performance analysis Lead analysis efforts showing anticipated and measured performance against mission level requirements Work closely with payload providers to ensure their systems meet technical, schedule and cost requirements Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) activities and manage some action items to closure Work as part of a team to mature designs and specifications and resolve issues that arise during a program's lifecycle Prepare material for and conduct periodic peer, internal, and customer design reviews Ensure that all specifications, designs, and developments adhere to SNC configuration management processes Tester Develop "Test-Like-You-Fly" test plans, test cases, and test procedures including execution scripts Coordinate and execute various test events such as development, risk reduction, requirement verification and other system functionalperformance testing utilizing Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop test platform configurations, as well as flight hardwaresoftware configurations Communicator Participate in andor lead Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) and other formal and informal engineering discussions with teammates, customers, and external stakeholders Brief customers and internal leadership on technical progress, risks, and alternative courses of action Prepare material for, and conduct periodic design reviews or major technical reviews, including design and testlaunch readiness reviews Contributor Supporting the creation of, and adherence to, process controls, configuration management requirements, and peer review processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical products Provide inputs to team status, including schedule, budget and earned value.
