A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a center-based classroom serving students in grades K-3. This role focuses on providing instruction and support to children with moderate to severe special needs, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Located in the northern Denver suburbs, this position is based at a community-oriented K-8 school, offering a caseload of up to five students, with current enrollment at three. You will work alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals to deliver tailored educational programs that meet each students unique needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities. Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and other educators to ensure student success. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment supportive of all learners. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and collaborative planning. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Colorado Department of Education certification in Special Education. Experience working with K-3 students in a center-based special education setting. Knowledge of instructional strategies for moderate to severe disabilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage and adapt to diverse student needs and behaviors. This contract position runs through May 29, 2026, with an immediate start available. The school is currently on spring break but will be coordinating with candidates promptly. A pre-screen call followed by a panel interview will be part of the hiring process.
