Job Description:
Cargill is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Electrician to
join our Technical & Maintenance team. In this vital role, you will
be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of
electrical systems in our manufacturing facilities. Your expertise
will contribute directly to Cargill's mission of nourishing and
sustaining the global community by maintaining the highest
standards of operation in fulfillment of our production goals.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and
fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic
electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer
standards, including in fire alarms and security systems. Read and
interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and
schematics in order to effectively install and troubleshoot
electrical systems. Collaborate with maintenance and construction
teams to plan electrical installations for new facilities or
expansions. Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical
components such as transformers, switches, outlets, and motors.
Provide technical support to production staff and assist in complex
installations or technical challenges. Adhere to safety guidelines
and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Profound
knowledge of electrical systems including planning additions and
modifications on secondary circuits. Hands-on experience in control
wiring and power distribution. Strong troubleshooting skills and
the ability to understand complex electrical blueprints,
schematics, and manuals. Effective communication and teamwork
skills. Ability to manage time and priorities effectively to meet
deadlines. Comfortable working in various environments including
confined and high spaces. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Electrician’s license required.
Certification from a recognized technical school highly desirable.
OSHA safety training certification on electrical systems and
safety.
