Waste Management, Inc., a leader in environmental services across North America, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations within our logistics and transportation sector. This role is pivotal to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our fleet and equipment, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and excellence in waste management services. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be instrumental in leading a team dedicated to the upkeep and enhancement of our transportation assets, crucial to our operations of waste collection, disposal, and recycling initiatives. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and ensure implementation Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance professionals Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities for vehicles and equipment Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance Manage relationships with contractors and service providers Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Ensure health and safety policies are complied with Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in managing mechanical and electrical systems Strong planning and problem-solving skills Ability to keep track of and report on activity Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
