Job Description: The Facility Maintenance Technician/Coordinator
plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep, and
safety of the company’s facilities. This position is responsible
for coordinating and overseeing maintenance tasks, managing vendor
relationships, and supporting preventative maintenance programs to
minimize downtime. Working closely with various departments, the
Facility Maintenance Coordinator ensures that all building systems,
equipment, and infrastructure are properly maintained, comply with
safety standards, and function efficiently. This role requires
strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a
proactive approach to facility management. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and oversee all facility and
non-production equipment (air compressors, HVAC, material handling,
etc.) maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion. Implement
and manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment
failures and prolong asset lifespan. Coordinate with external
vendors and contractors for general maintenance, specialized
repairs, inspections, and facility upgrades. Ensure maintenance
activities comply with OSHA, company policies, and regulatory
requirements. Maintain stock of necessary tools, equipment, and
maintenance supplies. Address minor repairs and coordinate major
facility maintenance needs. Monitor maintenance expenses and seek
cost-effective solutions for facility upkeep. Develop and assist in
emergency procedures related to facility hazards, power outages, or
critical system failures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance
schedules, inspections, and work orders. Work with management,
department heads, and external teams to ensure maintenance needs
are met effectively. Identify methods and areas of improvement in
Magpul’s safety program. Perform basic facility maintenance both
inside and outside the facility, to include some snow removal and
ice mitigation tasks. Manage the inventory of spare parts required
for MRO operations. Create request for quote (RFQ) packages for bid
by suppliers. Work with Purchasing to place purchase orders for
needed items. Effectively manage maintenance projects by breaking
them into three key phases:Immediate Response: Identify and address
urgent facility needs, prioritizing safety and operational
continuity. If the issue poses a hazard or disrupts operations,
initiate immediate triage solutions. Short-Term Resolution:
Implement corrective measures that minimize downtime and eliminate
safety risks, ensuring a stable and functional environment.
Long-Term Prevention: Develop and execute strategic solutions that
target the root cause, preventing recurrence and enhancing the
facility’s overall reliability. Maintains safe and healthy work
environment by following standards and procedures and complying
with legal regulations. Acknowledges safe behavior and promotes a
positive working relationship with other departments. Maintain a
clean working area with a focus on proper housekeeping and
organization of maintenance areas. This position will be on-call
for off-hour facility emergencies, alarm events, and weather
events. Weekend shifts may occasionally be required if work needs
to be completed during off hours. Ability to use common warehouse
equipment and tools, including hand tools, powered tools, and
diagnostic equipment. Ability to work in a warehouse and
manufacturing environment (temperature changes, dust, equipment,
etc.) Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift 55 lbs. Ability to work overtime when required.
Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Associate degree from a
recognized training facility in Industrial Maintenance or Facility
Maintenance preferred (may be offset by experience). Minimum 2
years’ experience in facility maintenance. Job Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities: Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to
change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks.
Must be able to communicate and prioritize diverse projects with
vendors and suppliers. Must have the mindset to find the true root
cause of the problem vs. a quick Band-Aid fix. Must be proficient
with basic computer programs (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) Strong
attention to detail. Able to work with minimum supervision and
capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work
produced. Must be a dynamic, self-starter with a continual
improvement mindset. Additional: This position reports to the Vice
President of Manufacturing Operations. Competitive pay commensurate
to experience. Must be eligible to work in the United States for
any employer. The applicant must be authorized to receive Technical
Data and/or Technology under U.S. export control laws. Any offer
