SUMMARY The Marketing Specialist is responsible and accountable for developing and executing on assigned product(s) and functional marketing responsibilities across multiple channels and segments. In addition to this, the job holder is responsible for the design and execution of marketing communication plans and go-to-market strategies, timelines, budgets, and materials specific to his/her assigned products and functional responsibilities as well as all related literature, communications and advertising in support of brand initiatives and objectives. The Marketing Specialist will work with internal departments including other marketing team members, lines of business (products), sales, sites, etc. to meet business objectives. A key part of the role is to support assigned products across customer segments (Large Clients, Small-Medium Clients, Prepaid Clients, Channel Partners) and across a variety of communications channels (trade advertising, trade shows, direct mail, email, digital/social advertising, content marketing). Travel required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Marketing Specialist will use a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts and think creatively, devising new ways of communicating with established and potential customers as well as internal stakeholder groups. --- Explore ways of improving existing marketing strategies and tactics --- Liaison with other internal departments such as product, sales and operations to effectively address business objectives via marketing --- Develop product marketing strategy for select products --- Successfully develop and execute product marketing plans and campaigns with allocated budgets to meet business and product goals and objectives --- Track, analyze and report results associated with marketing campaigns and plans --- Manage multi-channel demand generation marketing activities to meet goals for leads and converted sales for assigned products --- Identify content and marketing materials needed to support the buyers journey and lead nurturing activities for assigned products --- Identify existing customer cross-sell opportunities --- Provide marketing support to channel partners and resellers Plan and attend trade shows, company-sponsored promotions and events --- Maintain and monitor marketing budget with actuals; process expenses --- Other duties as assigned SKILLS: --- Sound understanding of marketing principles; B2B marketing preferred --- Conceptual, creative thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills --- Able to work in a collaborative environment across organizational structures --- Proactive; able to take initiative; work autonomously --- Accuracy and deep attention to detail; highly organized --- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills --- Excellent project management skills; meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment --- Strategic and analytical --- Decisive able to make sound business decisions --- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills --- T hought leader POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: --- 4+ years marketing experience --- B2B marketing and/or demand generation experience preferred --- Experience in a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts incorporating conventional and online media. B2B trade show, digital and social advertising and direct response marketing preferred. --- Proficient in marketing planning, budgeting and project management --- Ability to develop tools in support of marketing and sales activities --- Proven ability to assess and monitor budget --- Strong professional communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation --- Proficiency with a variety of software applications, including MS Office particularly Word, Excel and Power Point --- Bachelor Degree preferred and/or 4+ years in fast-paced marketing discipline
