Role: Technical Writer
Location: Charlotte, NC & Denver, CO
Duration: 12 Months
The Retirement Operations Analyst participates in providing
operational services to retirement clients. Working under general
supervision, this job is responsible for preparing reports and
analysis related to the investment and management of capital on
behalf of clients and/or the organization itself.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Analyzes fund performance data and resolves administrative
problems.
Researches analytics data and follows up with other functional
departments to answer ad-hoc client queries on a wide variety of
investment, operational, compliance and regulatory topics.
Liaises with Fund Managers in developing and oversees the
implementation of support strategies to service existing
clients.
Prepares and delivers weekly, monthly and quarterly valuation
reports to clients.
Certifies that all individual trades and accounts have been
reviewed and verified.
Works closely with managers and develops solid relationships with
clients.

The Process Documentation Team in Individual Client Solutions (ICS)
is looking for a Technical Writer who will collaborate with
business partners to help design and document new and existing
procedures for the Immediate Annuity (IA) Program. This person will
engage with business partners in ICS and Retirement Operations and
Shared Services (ROSS) to analyze, implement and update processes
by using sound process improvement models and techniques.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Act as a thought partner working with the business to identify and
mitigate regulatory risks where applicable through process
documentation
Collaborate and influence audiences across different functions and
at different levels in the organization
Develop professional content that addresses regulatory issues,
e.g., SOX and SSAE16, where applicable
Facilitate documentation meetings with multiple business partners;
responsible for standardizing procedures
Work with various functional units to analyze and document current
business processes and determine areas for improvement (reliability
and efficiency). Includes reporting out to business and/or upper
leadership
Work effectively with business lines to identify opportunities to
improve business processes and optimize value through the
application of Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools and
methodologies.
Produce high-level documentation and visual communication to drive
and improve *** operational processes.
Products include standard operating procedures, job aids, process
maps, and policies
Required qualifications
Three (3) or more years of direct technical documentation
experience or relevant job experience including financial and/or
data research and analysis experience
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent business experience
Solid understanding of the technical writing process and linear
approach to process design
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, in
addition to critical persuasive and influencing abilities
Excellent presentation capabilities necessary for facilitating and
negotiating with various business professionals
Intermediate level knowledge and experience with Visio, Snagit and
Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications
Project management experience or a certificate such as Six Sigma
Green Belt
Proven track record of effective leadership and teamwork
abilities
Possess excellent critical and analytical skills, and ability to
work independently and in project teams
Demonstrates the ability to direct and motivate others
