Job Description:

This is a hybrid position with 4 days a month on site in one of our locations.

Fund Reporting Managers manage the operational functions of the Financial Reporting Team. They ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of semi-annual and annual financial statements, quarterly holdings reports, and other required regulatory filings. They are accountable for the overall operations of their functional area and manage risks that could have a substantial impact on the company. They may develop business and service standards. They communicate at a broad level (e.g., senior management, executives, across the enterprise, with other functional areas). Financial Reporting Managers provide direction and support; act as an advisor to meet schedules, and/or to resolve complex and/or escalated issues. They provide input into long-term decision making and strategic/operations planning related to their area of internal operations. Some of these decisions are complex in nature and are made with little precedence or guidance. They have staff management responsibility, equip supervisors to lead the training and development of their teams, and offer performance evaluations and career development guidance. They review, recommend, and/or approve and administer human resources decisions, such as hiring, terminations, and promotions. Fund Reporting Managers work with all levels of management to develop long-term plans, review processes, and implement departmental policies, procedures, goals, standards and best business practices.

* Work directly with the Fund Controllers and other internal departments
* Oversee and lead the financial reporting team and all related operations within the fund administration department
* Ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of financial statements and regulatory filings while following rules and regulations established by the SEC, U.S. GAAP, SS&C ALPS, etc.
* Lead and/or assist with the implementation, maintenance and review of internal controls, policies and procedures
* Oversee and stay up to date with the latest technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards
* Equip supervisors to lead the training and development of their teams, and other performance evaluations and career development guidance.
* Oversee and lead utilization/implementation of financial reporting technology
* Coordinate training and development of the financial reporting team
* Assist in answering and researching questions during audits with independent auditors, tax managers, clients and Fund Controllers
* Assist and review filings such as N-CSR, N-1A, N-2
* Stay current on industry developments and drive implementation within the organization
* Provide expertise for conversions, mergers and liquidations as it relates to reporting needs
* Hire, manage, and mentor professional staff at various levels
* Collaborate with other departments at SS&C ALPS to ensure client satisfaction with services offered Support Director of Fund Administration on various projects and reports as needed

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
* 3-5 years in mutual fund accounting or administration experience
* Strong technical knowledge of mutual fund financial reporting and mutual fund accounting including U.S GAAP, Regulation S-X, N-1A, AICPA for Investment Companies
* Investment accounting experience for international funds, real estate funds, complex derivatives, complex fixed income, money market, closed-end funds and exchange traded funds
* Strong management, development and leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills; ability to manage several ongoing and ad hoc projects simultaneously
* Dynamic and positive attitude

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000. (This position is eligible to participate in a company bonus plan and stock program)
