We are seeking a full-time marketing assistant to join our team. This is a temporary role, with the possibility of renewal, and presents the opportunity for an entry-level marketing professional to grow their basic marketing skills while working with a close-knit team. What you will be responsible for in this position:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.--
The marketing assistant will be responsible for:

  • CRM administration and utilization: Use NEFE's customer relationship management (CRM) tool to create and maintain contact lists, manage relationships, and monitor engagement. Provide reporting and insights on the performance of different audience segments.
  • Social media content creation and monitoring: Work closely with marketing and engagement managers and communications staff to design and create content that supports social media campaigns, including images and infographics. Monitor and respond to conversations on behalf of NEFE with an eye toward reputation management and building community. Provide reporting on social media campaign performance.
  • Impact and engagement measurement: Gather and analyze data to assess the efficacy of engagement projects and tactics and provide recommendations for adjustments and improvements. Provide analysis and reporting of organizational KPIs.
  • Support event production and attendance: Assist in the planning and development of NEFE events and attendance at external conferences and events.----------
  • General marketing and communications support: Support the NEFE team as needed by creating and deploying communications on behalf of the organization, developing social media and web content, completing marketing and communications tactics, participating in project management activities, and fulfilling marketing and communications-related requests from other teams and departments.

  • We believe the following skills and experience will set you up for success in this position:--
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to write content for online and offline channels (website, emails, newsletter articles, print collateral, press releases, etc.)
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priority projects
    • Experience with the use of CRM tools for contact management, project planning and assessment is a plus
    • Basic skill with Adobe Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign is a plus
    • Familiarity with marketing software tools such as Emma, Canva, Visme, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc. is a plus
    • Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution-OR-
      • 2+ years experience in marketing/communications
        Physical/Mental Demands of the Job:
        Working environment requires ability to monitor NEFE social media channels outside of traditional working hours. Typical working schedule may be adjusted to accommodate regular after-hours/weekend social media monitoring.
        Physical demands of this position are aligned with that of general office-based work, such as: regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting is required (e.g., 20lb box of papers).
        Work hours are 8:30 AM -5:00 PM Monday - Friday - up to 40% remote work is allowed.
        Travel Required:
        Up to 5%
        Compensation:
        This base salary range for this position is between $40,000-44,500/year ($20.51-22.82/hour) and commensurate with experience, with an additional annual bonus potential based on successful completion of goals. This position is also eligible for approved overtime.
