Mines employees enjoy 12 paid holidays per year plus vacation and sick leave.Description of JobNOTE: This position will close at 11:59 pm on February 14, 2020, OR when 50 qualified applications have been received, whichever comes first.The Business Services Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for the Facilities Management Department, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Office of Design and Construction (ODC). Duties include: greet and direct visitors, answer incoming calls, distribute mail, manage the EHS on-call phone system, organize meetings, manage office equipment, route work- orders, order office supplies, update databases and websites, supervise student employees and other duties as assigned.Mines is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and educator that recognizes that diversity is crucial to its pursuit of excellence in learning and research. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal RightsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:One year of general clerical experience which included office front desk customer service assistance, (phones/reception). Daily interaction with facilities and campus staff, students, vendors and contractors requires this position to possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Previous experience working in an Environmental Health and Safety office.
    • Experience with WordPress.
    • Work order software experience.
    • Work leader experience.Substitutions:College, university or non-correspondence business school course work may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the general clerical experience.
